It’s been a few months since my last Family Diary and Roundup. Life has been crazy if I’m honest! Not sure how we are in April and little Dot’s 6th birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. Also, will this rain not let up? It’s been raining all year practically and my garden is a swamp! I’ve got lots of jobs to get on with out there! Here is our family diary and roundup Spring 2024 with things we’ve done, tried and tested.

Last weekend was Easter, and we had a lovely press trip arranged to The Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Thankfully we managed to dodge the rain showers. But coming home via the back lanes the roads were flooded!

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a charity that rescues and rehabilitates grey seal pups from around the Cornish coastline. It’s great to see all the stages of rehabilitation from the hospital to the rehabilitation pools ready for release back into the wild. It’s a fantastic place to visit for families with lots to see and do. We highly recommend it for a great day out!

Other things we’ve done are visiting the Lost Gardens of Heligan, long walks at Trelissick, lots of park visits and a walk around the Great Flat Lode.

We love the outdoors and finding lots of different walks around Cornwall. There is so much to explore and that’s one thing we’ve got on our bucket list this year. To get out and see the world on our doorstep!

Things We’ve Looked At and Tried

I love a snack box! It’s a great opportunity to try something new! A couple of days ago this TokyoTreat subscription box arrived and I’m impressed. PAW Patrol: Grand Prix – Complete Edition

With the weather being pretty rubbish over the school Easter holidays, we had lots of “home days”. L didn’t mind as she has been hooked on the new PAW Patrol: Grand Prix – Complete Edition game on her Switch!
