October was gone in a flash. I now have a 6 month old and a 32 month old on my hands. Weaning began, the whole house has had numerous colds. the baby had an ear infection. We went on some gorgeous Autumn walks around where we live, attended pumpkin and Halloween parties. October was just a busy month for us. I’m hoping to keep up with a monthly round up post of what we have enjoyed the previous month, starting of course with what we have enjoyed in October.
My two favourite photos I took were these. I couldn’t decide on just the the one!
Last week I went into work to discuss heading back to work in January. I will be back working Saturdays from January so at the moment weekend family time is precious to me.
At the weekends during the Summer we spent time at the beach. Walking across the sand and paddling in the water these are cherished family time moments. When the weather turned colder we took to walking in the woods that are just a few minutes down the road from us. When we were at Bluestone last month, it gave us a new found appreciation for walking, especially in the woods. Spending time showing the girls the trees, leaves, spider webs, that we found.
Yesterday I shared Check in and Day 1 at Bluestone Wales.
Today I’m sharing with you the rest of our week. starting with how well we slept in our Ramsey lodge and the bedrooms.
The Ramsey lodge has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both have ensuites. The twin room has a wet room while the double has a shower over the bath. Both bedrooms have lovely dark heavy wood furniture, you know the furniture that is built to last. In fact upstairs the dining table is the same and my toddler couldn’t move the chairs at all.
A couple of weeks ago we headed off to Bluestone Wales. A National Park Resort in the beautiful countryside of Pembrokeshire. Becoming a blogger over three years ago, has given us many opportunities and when we were invited over to Bluestone it was our most exciting yet.
We were due to arrive at Bluestone on the Monday after a fun busy weekend that started off at 3 am on the Saturday morning. You see we were heading up to Derbyshire to see Mr B’s Nan who is 102 and wanted to take her out for lunch, so an early start from Cornwall was needed! On the Sunday morning we drove across the Peak District to Manchester for BlogOn. We knew the hardest part of the drive would be from Manchester to Bluestone so we were up early again on Monday morning.
Did you know that today – 29th September is the date most of us Brits get ready for Winter? This weekend millions of Brits will be getting their winter wardrobes out, packing up their gardens and getting the first roast of the season in the oven apparently! We have had such gorgeous weather this past week down in Cornwall the flip-flops and shorts have been out!
Here is a little about our week….
We got the chickens back from mums on Monday after their holiday there while we went away. It was great to get them back. The garden felt eerily empty without them.
On Tuesday we popped on the train and went down to St Ives. It was rammed with people – of the older generation, I may add!!! Some lovely bloke gave up his seat on the train for me but my husband had to stand! We stopped off for fish and chips, well lets just say for half the price we had much better ones out of a chippy van in Wales last week!! Who puts carrot crisps on a plate of fish and chips???
