I’m back with another family diary entry – sorry it’s been a while! Here is the last family diary roundup if you missed it! So it was L’s 9th birthday over the weekend! Not sure where that time has gone. It only seems like yesterday we were in the delivery suite watching the Super Bowl waiting for her to arrive!

So over the weekend, we had a great time celebrating. On Saturday, Mr B took L for a haircut. The hairdressers we go to in town pamper her, she loves it! They curled her hair, and I think it made her look very grown up!
After the hairdressers, we looked around the shops. She spent some birthday money on clothes. Honestly, it’s like having a teenager. Don’t you think kids grow up so fast these days?
Cookie Queen
L is a huge fan of the Cookie Queen – they make the most delicious cookie sandwiches! Think apple pie, Bakewell, Jammy Dodger, etc. This Saturday they opened a new shop front in the town. She has been excited about this since she heard at Christmas they were opening it on her birthday!
We might have been their first customers and got a free tea towel! It made L’s day!!
Park Life
On Sunday we went to the park. Little Dottie needs routine in her life to help her function – so Sunday’s are always park days. At the moment with it being so so cold, I’m glad I have my rust bobble hat (goes perfectly with my red hair!) and this gorgeous Laurel Coat in Irish Cream. Standing around the park and of course pushing them on the swings is very chilly! What I love about the mid-length coat, is that it’s very light, but also very warm! and it’s made with recycled materials.

Walks in Cornwall
When you live in Cornwall, being outside all year round is a given. There are many beautiful sights to see. So a great all-round style coat is required. One that is great for those showers and the blustery wind on the coast! And I’ve found the coat – the Long Beachcomber Jacket – in the gorgeous pistachio colour. Again the color suits my red hair! It’s comfy to wear and the perfect 3/4 length for walks around the river and the beach.
