I start off with the acotar main characters:
Feyre Archeron
The protagonist of the series, Feyre begins as a mortal huntress struggling to keep her family alive. After killing a Fae wolf, she is drawn into the world of Prythian and evolves into a High Lady of the Night Court. Feyre is courageous, creative, and fiercely protective of those she loves.
Tamlin
The High Lord of the Spring Court who saves Feyre from punishment for killing a Fae. Initially a romantic interest, Tamlin’s controlling nature and inability to adapt to change reveal his flaws as the series progresses.
Rhysand (Rhys)
The charismatic and powerful High Lord of the Night Court, who becomes Feyre’s mate and greatest ally. Rhys is deeply loyal to his court and is committed to breaking the cycle of oppression in Prythian.
Morrigan (Mor)
Rhysand’s cousin and Third in Command, Mor is a beacon of strength, loyalty, and compassion. Beneath her confident exterior lies a painful past involving familial betrayal and rejection of societal norms.
Cassian
An Illyrian warrior and General Commander of the Night Court’s armies, Cassian is loyal and protective. His bond with Nesta Archeron evolves into a complicated romance filled with tension, healing, and mutual respect.
Azriel
The Shadowsinger of the Night Court, Azriel is a brooding and introspective warrior. His mastery of shadows and quiet demeanour hides a depth of emotion, particularly surrounding his unrequited love for Mor and evolving dynamics with Gwyn.
Amren
An ancient being trapped in a High Fae body, Amren is a terrifyingly powerful member of Rhysand’s Inner Circle. Though blunt and fierce, she develops a deep loyalty to Feyre and the others.
Nesta Archeron
The eldest Archeron sister, Nesta is proud, sharp-tongued, and deeply traumatized. Over the series, she finds her strength, purpose, and a new family among the Illyrians, forging a bond with Cassian and others.
Elain Archeron
The middle Archeron sister, Elain is soft-spoken, kind, and a reluctant participant in the world of the Fae. After being forcibly turned into a Fae, her ability to have visions becomes instrumental to the Night Court.
Lucien Vanserra
Tamlin’s emissary and the estranged son of Beron, High Lord of the Autumn Court. Lucien struggles to find his place after being rejected by multiple courts and his family, particularly after learning of his connection to Elain.
Eris Vanserra
Lucien’s eldest brother and heir to the Autumn Court. Eris is a cunning and morally ambiguous character who often acts in self-interest. However, glimpses of his hidden motives suggest there is more to him than meets the eye.
Emerie
An Illyrian shopkeeper who befriends Nesta and Gwyn during their training at Windhaven. Emerie is brave, resilient, and determined to defy Illyrian traditions that seek to keep her and others oppressed.
Gwyneth Berdara (Gwyn)
A priestess of the Night Court who works in the library at the House of Wind. Gwyn is a survivor of significant trauma and finds strength through her friendship with Nesta and Emerie, as well as her participation in the Valkyrie training.
King of Hybern
The cruel ruler of Hybern, obsessed with reclaiming Prythian and dismantling the human-Fae treaty. His manipulation and lust for power drive much of the conflict in the middle of the series.
Amarantha
The antagonist of the first book, Amarantha enslaves Prythian under her cruel reign. She thrives on torment and uses manipulation and violence to maintain power.
Ianthe
A manipulative High Priestess of the Spring Court, Ianthe uses her position to gain influence and satisfy her selfish desires, often at the expense of others.
Jurian
A human general resurrected by the King of Hybern. While initially thought to be an ally of Hybern, Jurian proves to have his own motivations rooted in revenge and justice.
Tarquin
The kind and forward-thinking High Lord of the Summer Court. Though his alliance with the Night Court is tested, Tarquin remains an honourable and fair leader.
Beron Vanserra
The cruel High Lord of the Autumn Court and father of Lucien and Eris. Beron is a schemer, ruling his court through fear and manipulation.
Helion Spell-Cleaver
The charming and intelligent High Lord of the Day Court, is known for his mastery of light magic and his flirtatious nature. Helion is secretly tied to Lucien’s parentage, adding complexity to his character.
Kallias and Viviane
The High Lord and Lady of the Winter Court, are fiercely loyal to one another and represent love, strength, and unity in their court.
Thesan
The scholarly and progressive High Lord of the Dawn Court. Thesan plays a diplomatic role in the series, fostering alliances between courts.
Briallyn
A mortal queen who allies with Hybern in exchange for power and immortality, Briallyn is manipulative and ruthless.
The Bone Carver
A mysterious and ancient death god who appears differently to each person who sees him. The Bone Carver is enigmatic and aids Feyre in exchange for a bargain.
The Weaver (Stryga)
An ancient and terrifying being who devours those foolish enough to enter her lair. The Weaver is feared for her cunning and power.
The Suriel
A mysterious and cryptic creature who provides vital knowledge to those who capture it. The Suriel helps Feyre multiple times and is one of the series’ most memorable magical beings.
The Mortal Queens
A group of human queens who play a pivotal role in the series. They betray their people by allying with Hybern in pursuit of immortality.

**Character Spoiler Below**
ACOTAR When do Feyre and Rhysand get together?
Feyre and Rhysand’s relationship develops gradually across the first two books, though the foundation is laid in A Court of Thorns and Roses. He first appears as a mysterious, seemingly villainous High Lord who strikes a bargain with Feyre during her trials under the mountain (in exchange for his help, she owes him one week per month in the Night Court for the rest of her life). There’s tension and an undeniable spark between them even then, though Feyre remains engaged to Tamlin.
In A Court of Mist and Fury, things shift properly. Feyre is struggling with trauma and a stifling, controlling relationship with Tamlin after the events under the mountain. When Rhysand calls in their bargain, she ends up spending more time in the Night Court, where she heals, trains, and grows close to him and his Inner Circle. Partway through the book they learn she and Rhysand are actually true mates, something he’d known for a while but kept from her. After she eventually leaves Tamlin for good, their relationship becomes official, and by the end of the book they’re fully together, with Feyre becoming High Lady of the Night Court.
So short version: sparks start in book one, but they become a real couple in book two, A Court of Mist and Fury.
