Wow didn’t January disappear fast? February is an exciting month for us. First up is Baby girl’s first birthday and then our house is being put on the market. January for me was all about setting up my blogging goals for the year. You can pop over to here to have a little peek to see what goals I have set myself.
We are really here! It’s 2017 and in a couple of month’s I will be celebrating my 2 year blogiversary. 2016 was crazy!
A few days ago I wrote my Year in Review, looking back over what I’ve achieved in my personal life and the blogging world. Now I’m looking at what I can do in 2017.
I have never been great at keeping to goals. Maybe for a New Year’s Resolution I can make one by sticking to my goal plan! Don’t get me wrong I’ve been very good at keeping to my bucket lists which I have made each month but they are not ‘proper’ long term goals.
To turn my blog to where I want it to go I need to come up with acheiveable goals. I have been taking part in Aby’s course’s from You Baby Me Mummy to help me get on the right track.
So here we go!
Well I don’t know where to start. 2016 has been one of the best years in my life. It’s been jammed packed with the birth of my beautiful baby girl, baby sick, sore boobs, 10 months of maternity leave, teething, lack of sleep, returning to work full-time and of course the revamp/rebrand of this wonderful blog.
I have decided to give you a quick recap over each month. This way I can reminse back over the year as well!
My Year in Review
So let’s start at the very beginning… a very good place to start…
I feel so lucky to be able to review the new Stick to Stigu planner. Earlier on in the year I was grateful to review the 2016 version. Now here is the bright shiny new 2017 version. I’m a HUGE fan of Stick to Stigu. I just had to get that in before I follow with my review!
I have used my 2016 planner every day. Planning out not only blog stuff but I also use it for my personal life as well. It’s fantastic to add all of baby girl’s appointments in as well as my own.
At the weekends I love to sit down and plan out my week ahead. Seeing my week on one page makes it so much more manageable.
The planner is full of ideas, inspiration, things to do and tips to make your life more relaxed. At the beginning there is a page to write down your goals for 2017. This is fabulous for looking back over from time to time throughout the year reminding yourself of the goals you have set.
Today I’m sharing with you some digital marketing strategies that can help your business or in my case helped me to grow my blog. It takes time and lots of effort to build up a blog/business and it certainly won’t happen overnight.
Here is my little story of how I’m growing my blog.
I started my blog over 21 months ago. At first I was a complete novice in anything to do with the digital online world. For months I didn’t even know how to track my page views. I suppose I was just plodding along and used my blog as a space to write my thoughts down.
It was a hobby. Nothing more.
Fast forward to April this year and I was on maternity leave, eager to start learning how far I could push my blog. After all I had time while baby girl napped and when she bed to bed in the evenings. Now here I am in December and this blog is now my business. I’m astounded how quickly it has grown. I’m not talking hundred’s of thousands of page views each month and definitely not earning £1000’s of pounds each month either. But I’m truly happy with where it’s heading. As they say hard work does pay off in the end.
Wow didn’t October fly by! I have now been back to work 4 weeks and it’s gone by so quickly. We are now into a little routine so we all get to our places on time in the mornings! Here you can read all about our back to work routine.
Also if you want to catch up on last months roundup post you can do so.
It’s strange as I have had a lesser amount of blogging time this month but my stats have rocketed! I have had some amazing competitions running and reviewed lots of fabulous things. Why not have a scroll back through and see what we have been up to?
