Welcome back to our little weekly round-up of Living Arrows 14/53 (2018). I’m enjoying getting into the routine of sharing a little bit of our life and how my gorgeous 2 year old is growing away so fast!
You can catch up on last week’s post here : Living Arrows 13/53.
The idea behind Living Arrows is to celebrate childhood. It’s name is taken from a poem by Kahlil Gibran,
“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
This last week we had the 2 year health visitor check up. Before hand a questionnaire arrived in the post with like 50 questions on regarding what she can and cannot do. Questions designed to test her motor skills, behaviour, speech and such. My husband and I went through each one together and we were actually amazed at what she can do for her age when questioned.
When we were sat in the room she was happily playing with the toys provided. Getting up to try and open the door at times! She didn’t stop talking which seemed to please the health visitor. Of course when it came time to be weighed she refused to get on the scales. Time and time again we tried, and eventually managed to get her to stay still for the whole of 5 seconds.
Baby girl is such a busy toddler with things to do all the time. Staying still is not one of them.
It was fantastic to hear she is passing all of her developmental milestones. Her height and weight are perfect for her age. So we have got signed off from the health visitor and she won’t have anymore checks until school now.
Watching her personality grow and develop each day is a joy. Learning new words and phrases I never know what’s she going to do next.

Sounds like she’s doing fab. I always stressed loads about these appointments then they were fine on the day #livingarrows
It sounds like she is developing perfectly – and has such a personality too! x
