Another month over in 2020. Here is July’s roundup post. August was pretty much the same as July for us. L was in her last month of preschool. It was an emotional end to the month when she graduated. But she is ready for school next week. Excited to meet new friends.
Little Dottie is starting her 2 mornings a week at nursery. The settling in sessions are not going very well so far. She screams the whole time there and has tantrums. I’m hoping she will come round, she is very head strong though!
With L being at preschool for 4 mornings a week, and with it being extremely busy here in Cornwall these past few weeks, we haven’t really been anywhere apart from the park and the woods once. We can’t wait to go back to the beach in September. I always like to think that the beach belongs to the tourists over the Summer holidays and we reclaim it back the rest of the year! I’ve seen how crowded the beaches are this Summer on the local news and it gave me anxiety! Plus I hate how crowded the car parks get and the roads to the beach at the best of times.
But we’ve been happy in the garden. We got our new chicken! Happy, Norie and Betty. Haha the girls love Hey Duggee! The garden has been tidied the flower beds weeded, and we always start about this time, getting everything ready for Winter. The front gate has been painted and the top of the fence repainted.
L got a new bike! Her old bike has been really small for her for months, but we haven’t been able to get her new one due to lockdown. This cute pink Roxie bike was bought online at Halfords and then sent to out local store to be put together! Don’t worry she has a helmet, this was the first time she saw the bike and got straight on it!
Things we’ve tried
I’ve been gathering gift ideas for my eco-friendly Christmas Gift Guide for 2020 and this Dantoy Bio-Toy Front Loader Tractor has been a welcome addition. It’s a brilliant toy for little ones, so completely deserves a mention in the end of month roundup. Dantoy is from Denmark and they have launched a brand-new “I’m Green” line of bioplastic products. Their bioplastic is made of at least 90% sugarcane, a sustainable raw material, and their bioplastic is 100% recyclable.
You can buy this fantastic front loader tractor from *Amazon.
You may remember our Lo-Dough review a few weeks back, well the newly launched product in the range are these Miracle Cake Bars. Deliciously chocolatey moreish and rich! Low in fat and sugar and high in fibre and protein these miracle bars are the perfect healthier snack.
So that’s the end of another month and our August 2020 roundup. Now L is in school, we don’t have a lot of plans for September. The occasional beach visit and the park at the weekends will be enough for us. For the last 2 years, we have gone to Bluestone and BlogOn in September, totally going to miss that this year.
