We live just a few miles from Newquay, and it’s a lovely place to go on a seaside holiday with the family. Newquay always fascinated me as a child, because my favourite film was The Witches which was filmed there. Newquay is known for it’s surfing, in fact, the best beach for surfing is Fistral, where you will find around 750 metres of golden sandy beach. There are many things to do in Newquay as a family, and I’m sharing some of those here with you today. Which if you win the competition at the end of this post, you can visit!

Visting Attractions
There are lots of attractions to visit in Newquay and the surrounding areas. Last year we took a trip to Pirate’s Quest and went on a fantastic swashbuckling adventure there meeting real pirates! Newquay is home to a gorgeous aquarium and Cornwall’s largest Zoo.

The Lusty Glaze Adventure centre is great fun. Adventure activities include abseiling, tightrope walking, a surf school, jet ski lessons and a fun banana boat ride. There is an onsite restaurant to grab a bite to eat and relax.
One place you mustn’t miss is the Lappa Valley Steam railway. Riding through the woodlands is an experience. You can also play a round of crazy golf, walk the beautiful nature tails and use the outdoor and indoor play areas. Toddler maze included!
If you are looking to travel out of Newquay into the surrounding areas of Cornwall, you will find The Eden Project, Heligan Gardens, Camel Creek, and Flambards, to name just a few!
