When I was a kid I wasn’t really into dolls, but then they wasn’t really any around but Barbie’s, now on the market there is a wider range like the Lottie Dolls. We were very excited to take a look at a Lottie Doll, we chose Fossil Hunter which is from the Gold Collection.
I wanted to see what makes these dolls different from others, how good they are and the quality of the accessories that come with the doll.
My older sister is a geologist and has always worked in a predominantly male workplace and so when I read that the Fossil Hunter Lottie Doll is in collaboration with TrowelBlazers an Anglo-American group of women archaeologists, palaeontologists and geologists, I knew this was a special doll. She is a kick-ass adventure doll who isn’t like your everyday princess doll in needing of rescuing. Personally I think dolls like these are fantastic role models for young girls and prove they can do anything!
What’s Included with Fossil Hunter Lottie:
- Olive coloured gilet puffa vest
- Turquoise blue polo short with an ammonite shell design print
- Cargo shorts
- Orange and white stripe socks
- Sturdy boots
- Baseball cap
- A rucksack
- Fossil hunting tools (magnifying glass, trowel and geology hammer)
- Four ammonite fossils
- Special collector cards about the British female fossil hunter Mary Anning
- Notable women in paleontology additional sheet
Fossil Hunter Lottie has lots of accessories included, they are of great quality and will keep youngsters occupied for many hours. Please note that the accessory pieces are extremely small so unsuitable for under 3 years old. I have let baby girl play with the doll – she does like her hair! but she is still in that phase of putting things into her mouth, therefore the accessories have gone away for a while.
The fact cards have great little facts on them – perfect little bonus! The accessories are brilliant smaller versions of real life tools.
I can’t find a fault with the Fossil Hunter Lottie Doll at all, can’t wait to see what other dolls they bring out!
As well as the wide range of accessories that come with the dolls, you can also buy accessory packs that fit and accompany the dolls. We received the Biscuit the Beagle set.
Included in the Biscuit the Beagle set:
- Dressable Biscuit the Beagle dog figure
- Dog bag for Lottie to carry Biscuit in
- Dog bed
- Drinking bowl
Again the accessory pieces are of high quality and very detailed, I do love how they are interchangeable with all Lottie Dolls.
Kids love to collect and Lottie Dolls have lots of accessory packs and dolls to collect, I’m well impressed with the detail’s on the dolls, the idea behind all the dolls they have on sale and of course the extra’s you can buy to top up the Lottie Doll experience.
I’m giving Lottie Dolls a 5 out of 5 stars.
