In the summer there is nothing better than getting together with the people we love and enjoying a good old party. Whether you are planning a big bash with everyone you know or a small family gathering – parties are so fun when done outside on a sunny day.
Today we are going to take a look at a few of the different ways that you can ready your garden for a party and for people to visit it.

Hose down seats and tables
If you have chairs and tables out in the garden, the first thing you need to do as prep work is clean them. Whether you use a hose, a pressure wash, or a bucket and sponge – cleaning the chairs and tables will ensure they are hygienic and that there aren’t any spiders hanging around ready to scare your guests.
Install an awning
Choosing electric awnings for your garden patio area can be an amazing way to prepare the garden for guests as well as bring some class to your space. An electric awning can be retracted when you need, and it will allow you to have a dry spot in case of any sudden spouts of rain.
Clean the patio
The patio is an important part of the garden to prepare before a party because this is where most of your guests will congregate. Ensuring that the patio is clean and ready to go before your big day will make the whole garden seem tidier. Use a pressure washer to get rid of muck and dirt from the patio and get rid of weeds before the day.

Create a play area
If there are kids coming to your party this summer one of the fun things you can do is break out a few toys. This could be a paddling pool, slip and slide, a badminton set, or swing ball. Any of these fun games will keep the kids occupied for hours and it will allow the adults to enjoy a couple of drinks in peace!
Break out the nibbles
When guests first arrive it is important to have nibbles at the ready. These can include crisps, dips, chocolate, breadsticks, pitta breads and more. Set these out on the patio table and people can pick before the main meal begins.
Decorate the fences
One last way to really get the garden ready for your party is the decorate the fences and bring them to life. Bunting is a great thing to bring into your garden throughout the year and in the summer bright colours can bring an air of fun and wonder to the space. As well as bunting you can add balloons and other decorations if you are celebrating an anniversary or a birthday. One last thing to add to the fences is some fairy lights that are solar-powered. These will start to light up as the party gets later and it will bring some stunning magical energy to the space.
Use some of these great ideas to prepare your garden for your next summer party.
