Most of us have walk in wardrobe envy when we see celebrities and their closets. Many of us don’t have the room for a dream walk in wardrobe, but there are ideas we can expand on to create one that will be the envy of our friends. Admit it, while you are reading this, you are dreaming of that spacious, well organised, and kitted-out closet to fit in your clothes, shoes and handbags!

Small bedroom? Could it be a walk-in wardrobe?
Do you have a spare small boxroom that’s just full of junk? Have you thought about how this space could be turned into a dream walk-in wardrobe? Let’s push the boat out and have a dressing table put in there as well. This room will be one you will want to walk in all the time. A vanity table and chair would complete the look of your boudoir space. Choose deep rich colours like navy or purple for your chair to give the room the feel of luxury. Choose Urban Wardrobes to build your units right up to the ceiling and make the most of that extra storage space. It can be storage for your out-of-season clothes or extra bedding.
Alternatively, if you really do need the small bedroom, there are plenty of wardrobe ideas for a small bedroom out there, you just need to think outside the box so to speak!

Lighting
Lighting is oh so important in your dressing area. You need to see what you are wearing and what you are digging out from the back of the wardrobe. Use LED spotlights or softer strip lighting depending on your taste for inside the wardrobes. Outside the wardrobe why not go for a “wow that’s some chandelier!” in the room. It will be the talking point for sure!

Extra Details
It’s always good to have your walk in wardrobe ideas sketched out on plan so you can see what fits best where. This will also get you thinking about the extra details. Such as mirror size. Are you looking to want a floor-length mirror? Will it need to be an illuminated mirror or not? How big is your shoe collection? Will you need extra space for collectible shoes to be displayed? A shoe trying on seat? Would you like a thick cozy rug on the floor?
Number 1 design tip: Make sure you include enough drawers, shelves, and rails to organise every type of garment and accessory in the planning stage!
What would you have in your dream walk-in wardrobe?
