October was gone in a flash. I now have a 6 month old and a 32 month old on my hands. Weaning began, the whole house has had numerous colds. the baby had an ear infection. We went on some gorgeous Autumn walks around where we live, attended pumpkin and Halloween parties. October was just a busy month for us. I’m hoping to keep up with a monthly round up post of what we have enjoyed the previous month, starting of course with what we have enjoyed in October.
My two favourite photos I took were these. I couldn’t decide on just the the one!
Couldn’t resist her little face.
Moving onto a few of the new things we’ve been trying out this month.
Del Monte’s Squeezie’s
Squeezie is, quite simply, the easy way to ensure children are receiving the nutritious benefits their five-a-day. Del Monte’s delicious snack range is made from 100% fruit, containing no added sugar or artificial ingredients and are available in 3 tasty flavours: Apple Strawberry & Banana, Apple Strawberry & Blueberry, and Apple & Mango.
These are wonderfully fruity if I say so myself. Great for snack time!
Available in Asda stores nationwide. RRP 50p per pouch or 7 for £3
UPBEAT Protein Water
The pioneers of protein drinks have created tasty, real fruit spring waters containing protein and vitamins
A refreshing and tasty new range of real fruit, protein and vitamin infused spring waters from UPBEAT have just landed. They combine taste, hydration and nutrition without a single drop of sugar, helping you perform at your best throughout the day.
Available in two delicious flavours, Blueberry & Raspberry and Summer Lemon, the drinks are scientifically proven to help you stay strong, feel energised and maintain mental performance whilst keeping you hydrated. UPBEAT real fruit spring waters will be available at WHSmith Travel and on Amazon now for £1.79.
I find the drinks refreshing and are great drunk chilled. Perfect for a pick me up after exercise.
We are a huge fan of the Child’s Farm products and we were pleased to be one of the first to try out this amazing smelling 2 in 1 hair (shampoo and conditioner) in Rhubarb and Custard. Yes it does smell like the sweets! The girls hair was smelling so sweet after and I tried it on my own as well!
You can find it at Tesco or online at Child’s Farm
I’ve been a huge fan of Kellogg’s Nutri- Grain bars for years, and now they have had a recipe upgrade and a new packaging design. I must say they are very delicious with more filling. They are great for mum’s needing an energy boost. Also a snack for the kid’s lunches.
Available in all good supermarkets.
This is For You By Ellen Bard
A Creative Toolkit for Better Self-Care
In This Is For You, Ellen Bard shares her science and evidence based formula of 100 key exercises to help us reframe our priorities and take better care of ourselves. With chapters exploring Body, Mind, Feelings, Relationships, Time, Work, Environment, Creativity and Change, there is something here for everyone so we can pick the themes most resonant for us, and every page contains a fun and original interactive challenge and a new way of viewing our world.
I’m looking forward to having a go at this journal. I could do with finding a few minutes to myself everyday to prioritise tasks.
