The Most Epic Moments from the Middle-Earth 6 Film Collection

We are huge fans of the Middle-Earth films. Years ago when I first went to see The Lord of the Rings – The Fellowship of the Ring in the Cinema with my sisters and brother I was immediately hooked. There was something about that film that was just out of this world. It made me a fan of Middle-Earth for life!

Now with the Middle-Earth 6 film collection released on Blu-Ray it completely deserves a look back at the most epic moments from the films.

The Hobbit Trilogy

  • An Unexpected Journey
  • The Desolation of Smaug
  • The Battle of the Five Armies

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

  • The Fellowship of the Ring
  • The Two Towers
  • The Return of the King

My Favourite Epic Moments

Mines of Moria – After a failed attempt climbing over the Misty Mountains, The Fellowship turn to going underground through the mines. Here they learn the fate of the dwarves. They survive an attack before coming across Balrog, an ancient demon. Gandalf falls into the abyss with Balrog and the others manage to escape to Lothlorien.

Bilbo Saves Thorin – Bilbo leaps into action and saves Thorin from a giant Orc. This then gives the rest of the dwarves the incentive to fight.

Boromir’s Death – I’m a huge Sean Bean fan and his best ever role was playing Boromir. His death brought a sadness to the film and a turning point for me. Things might not end well. He died a heroes death saving Merry and Pippin.

Helm’s Deep – The scene was just amazing. It is still my favourite Middle-Earth battle. I love the elves coming in at the end saving them all.

The Battle With Smaug – The final act in The Desolution of Smaug sees the dwarves attempt to bring down the dragon.

What is your favourite Middle-Earth film? Which are your Epic moments?

*I was sent this Blu-Ray box set in exchange for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own as always

  1. I have to say the battle of Helms deep/Hornburg is one of the most amazing battles scenes very. It was on end of the most anticipated moments in the original trilogy and it didn’t disappoint ????
