As we are nearing the end of the school holidays (already I know!) it is time to think about back to school shoe shopping. I always leave the shoes until last because my girls’ feet seem to grow over the holidays like crazy! Must be all the barefoot beach and garden running! Luckily we received a couple of pairs to check out this summer. Here is our Start-Rite Girls School Shoes Review.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been breaking in a couple of pairs from the Start-Rite girl’s school shoes collection. With the new school year just around the corner in a couple of weeks, I wanted something stylish yet practical for my girls. After browsing their website I stumbled upon two absolute gems: the Stardust Black Leather Girls Rip-Tape School Shoes and the Samba Black Leather Girls Rip-Tape School Shoes.
Stardust Black Leather Girls Rip-Tape School Shoes
First up, let’s talk about the Stardust pair in a size 1F for Dottie. These are just adorable! They have this lovely glitter heart jewel detailing that adds a touch of sparkle without being over the top. The butterfly and jewel rubber bar end is such a sweet touch, making them feel special and unique.

But what really won me over was the biomechanically engineered sole with targeted flexibility. Dottie is a tiptoe walker at times and she can wear through the front area of shoes very quickly, so the Stardust design is perfect for her with the extended sole up on the front of the shoe.

The leather is incredibly soft, making them flexible and perfect for all-day wear. Plus, the velcro fastening is a lifesaver for the rushed mornings and for putting on and taking off at school – Dottie loves to be barefoot!

Samba Black Leather Girls Rip-Tape School Shoes
Then there’s the Samba shoes for L that we’ve been reviewing in a size 4 1/2. These are more on the classic side but equally fantastic for an 8 year old. They have a sleek design that goes with just about any school uniform. The leather is sturdy yet soft, ensuring durability without sacrificing comfort.

The velcro fastening is again a huge plus, making them quick and easy to wear (we need to work on her shoelace tying!) What I love most about the Samba shoes is their versatility – they’re perfect for both the classroom and the playground.

Both pairs are from Start-Rite, a brand I’ve come to trust for their quality and thoughtful designs. They really understand what kids need in a school shoe – comfort, durability, and a bit of playground style! If you’re looking for school shoes, I highly recommend checking these out for the new school year. They also have many other great designs for both boys and girls to look at. I hope you have found this Start-Rite girls school shoes review helpful.
Happy back-to-school shopping!
