With Spring on the way, soon I hope! It will be time to get back on the bikes and go out exploring the gorgeous Cornish countryside. One thing I have never thought of having was a bicycle first aid kit. With so many cars on the roads I believe it’s much safer to go off-road on the bikes. But it is inevitable that everyone will need to ride on the road at some point.
SJ Works got in contact with me a few weeks back asking if I would like to have a look at their bicycle first aid kit. I thought this would be a good time to get prepared for the sunnier, warmer weather that should be arriving shortly.
The kit I will be looking through today is the smart phone solution bicycle first aid kit. It’s easy to attach to the bar on your bike as shown in the photo from SJ Works below: It has a clear transparent panel on top.
The pack is very light weight but contains lots of items needed for every scenario, whether you are road or mountain biking.
The first aid kit is neatly packed with the plasters contained inside the cover for easy access. There is enough room inside for keys, cards and phone as well.
Bicycle first aid kits contains
Pressure Bandages, non-adhering wound dressings (essential for comfortably treating road rash), Antiseptic Towelettes, Easy Access Bandage, non-woven sponges, an emergency first aid guide from the American Red Cross, plasters of varying sizes, butterfly wound closures, tape, sterile eye pad, emergency blanket, SJ Works reflective strip and a 3.5mm headphone extension cord.
My overall thoughts is that the smart phone solution bicycle first aid kit is a handy piece of kit that you could keep for home and in the car use as well. It’s thoroughly packed with everything you could need in an emergency – very thought out in design!
