We have had a lot of terrible weather in Cornwall at the moment, it’s been flash floods, windy as well as the heavy rain. Not really Summer weather! So when I was approached to review waterproof dungarees from Dry Kids I thought we have the right weather for it! Plus having a new garden freshly turfed it would be ideal for baby girl to get out and about and try them out.
Dry Kids have lots of waterproof outerwear on their site, catering for ages from 2 to 12 years. There are lots to choose from including jackets, trousers and wellies. We browsed through the website and loved the look of the waterproof fleece lined dungarees, in Raspberry of course! You can also get them in Yellow, Navy and Turquoise.
The dungarees reminded me of when I was small, I had a blue pair very similar and bright green frog wellies for splashing about in the mud!
I love the addition of reflective stripes around the bottom of the legs great for visibility for darker Winter evenings. The waterproof outside material is heat sealed for full on outdoor play and its tested to 3000 mm of hydrostatic head so very waterproof. As baby girl is still only 18 months old, I chose the 2 year old size for her so still a little big, (I’m sure she will grow into it very quickly!) but I’m grateful it has the adjustable shoulder straps and poppers at the waist band for tightening up.
I chose the polar fleece lined ones, although too hot for Summer they will be perfect for Winter when she grows into them. A cute little design which is extremely helpful are the elastic ankle straps which we have on the outside of the wellies, but then can be used inside as well, great for stopping the dungarees from riding up.
There is a label inside for adding your child’s name and school, great for walking to and from school.
What we thought
As an outdoorsy person from as soon as I could walk, I would actually love a grown up pair of these myself! I’m very pleased to be sent this pair to review with baby girl, I’m sure she will be just as outdoorsy as me! The quality of the waterproof dungarees is of a very high standard. The material is very thick and the waterproof outside is smooth to touch. Added extras like adjustable straps and waist poppers are great for growing children and a lovely touch. At £19.95 I would say they are very reasonably priced. You can buy the unlined pair for £16.95.
I’m very sure she will get lots of use out of them and I will be back to buy the next size up when she’s grown out of this pair!
The Dry-Kids Raspberry Fleece Lined Dungarees deserves a 5 out of 5 stars from us.
I hope you have enjoyed this review today, thanks for stopping by.
