What We Have Enjoyed In March

I know I say it every month, but I can’t believe another one is over. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed March. We have done quite a lot this month. It’s helped that I’ve had most of it off work due to all the outstanding holiday I accrued during my maternity leave that I’ve had to use up by 31st March. The weather has been fantastic. A total difference to this time last year when it was the Beast from the East.

So what have we been up to?

It was Mr B’s birthday, so I took him out for lunch. It was the first time we’ve been on a “date” in a year, with it only being the two of us. I’ve got to say it felt strange with out the girls. At least we could eat in peace.

We popped over to The Lost Gardens of Heligan to pick up our locals passes for the year. It’s our first time getting these. Now the girls are older I want to make sure we get out more as a family. Because the girls are under 5 we’ve only had to pay for us two adults, total bargain! It was Red Nose Day as well so we got to see the Giant’s Red Nose!

Trying Out Bin Liners

OK, so it might not be the most exciting product we’ve had to try out this month, but it’s a bloody useful one! I’m mainly the one that changes the bins and I absolutely hate the bin bag slipping down inside the bin and more rubbish is still piled in. Bacofoil have come up with this genius idea of having the edge elasticated and they are tear resistant! They are fab bin bags and will help us mums avoid having to clean out the inside of the bin quite so often where pasta and yogurt has slipped down!

You can get them in two sizes 30L and 50L at Tescos for £2.49.

My Girl’s Are Growing Up

Over the past 12 months, we’ve had numerous goes at potty training and didn’t succeed. The last few weeks we have given it a proper bash and I’m proud to say my not so little baby girl is now fully potty trained by day. I only had to bribe her a couple of times with chocolate buttons and she just took to it like a duck to water. It was just her right time. I don’t believe in pushing them when they clearly are not ready. Now is her time.

I’m going to have to think of something to call her on here now as she clearly isn’t baby girl anymore. How about we just call her L?

L turned 3 in February so will be starting preschool after Easter. She is ready for “school” now, and I am as well! I’ve booked her in for a couple of settling in sessions for an hour each, the week before. I know she love the idea of going to school, but is she ready for me to leave her there? We are entitled to the 30 hours per week funding, but I’ve stretched it over the whole year and not just term time, so she’s going for 20 hours a week.

I’m looking forward to some 1 on1 time with baby dottie, which we’ve never had. The little dear is 1 next month! It’s been a hell of a roller-coaster year, but here we are.

I’ve ended March having to look for a new theme for my blog due to some unforeseen circumstances, so it will be looking a little different to you, but my posts will still be the same.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog regularly, I wouldn’t be where I am today without each reader that comes over. A massive thanks to everyone.
