It been a few years since the last time I straightened my hair, I used to have the time to do it each morning! So when I was offered the chance to try out Lee Stafford’s Straight & Juicy Irons, I thought now that baby girl is older I need to make a little time for myself, so why not give them a go?
The uBunTu Oils Straight and Juicy Irons are a ceramic styler suitable for all hair types. It has variable temperature settings to help minimise heat exposure to your hair which can cause damage. I’m in love with the shocking pink colour! It’s bright funky and super stylish. The point of the infused plates with the uBunTu Oil is to help nourish your hair as well as repair and restore. I have to say my normal thick dry hair was feeling much smoother and tamed after using the straight and juicy irons.
It’s great that you can change the temperature, which you can’t do on a lot of straighteners. The first time I used them I had it on a lower temperature to let my hair get used to it, but I think next time I will go hotter as my hair is very thick and can take it. The panel on top of the straighteners lights up to show you what heat setting it is on. It’s bright and clear so easy to see.
They are lightweight and won’t give you an achy arm if you are using them for a while. The cord is a decent length and it swivels for ease of movement.
I can’t really compare them to more expensive straighteners in terms of how good they are, but for me and general use I’d say they are great value for money.
They are currently £22.99 at Amazon so a total bargain!
