Brown’s General Knowledge Quiz Book Review and Giveaway

I love a good quiz. Especially when its general knowledge questions. I got to say my husband is way better at general knowledge than me though. I find these questions a great chance to learn new facts.

Brown’s publishers recently got in contact asking if I wanted to check out their new general knowledge quiz book and run a giveaway with them.

The idea behind these quiz books. Yes there are 3 volumes so far! Is to put an end to poorly researched quiz books of the past. Brown’s pride themselves in “producing this general knowledge quiz book series, containing factually correct questions and answers.” You can find more about the author Lewis Pearce over on the Amazon author page

We received volume 1 to take a look at. This one contains 150 potluck quizzes and 2250 questions. There are no categories so it’s fairer and more suitable for everyone. I think this is a great idea, so everyone can start on an even level.

The answers to the questions are upside down on the same page, so no hunting around or turning pages for the answers. A fantastic time-saving gesture. The author really has thought about the quiz world.

All questions are family friendly, many topics and different levels of difficulty. So really suitable for all. There is also an ebook version available for on the go fun. Plus if you head over to Quiz Books you can download a free scorecard and other goodies.

My overall thoughts are that it’s a very clear, easy to navigate quiz book with a simple layout. The range of questions is very large and levels of difficulty means it caters for all. I do think this is the quiz book of the future, a great one for pub quizzes!

  1. This book looks great – I need to improve my knowledge in all areas. I don’t really have a favourite – maybe geography?!
