Welcome back to Thrifty Thursday. Last time I shared with you one of my favourite money-saving apps called Shopmium. This week I’m sharing another app called Checkout Smart. This app is all about claiming cash back on your everyday items while you are shopping. A good tip is to have the app open while you are going around the shops so you can scroll through the offers.
Some of the products are free, whereas others are money back. Checkout Smart works in a similar way to Shopmium in that you must keep the receipt and upload it to the app when you have bought the item. The excellent feature of Checkout Smart is that it has a filter option so you can select which shop or supermarket you are in and only show the relevant products to that shop.

How does Checkout Smart work?
- Buy the featured product
- Upload the receipt
- When the receipt is processed Checkout Smart send a confirmation email of your reward and you will see the amount in your Checkout Smart account
- You can withdraw the money to your bank account or PayPal once the balance reaches the minimum level.
- It’s best to leave the balance reach £20 before you withdraw otherwise you are subject to a processing fee.
- All receipts must be uploaded within 7 days of purchasing the products.

Make sure you sign in to use the app as some are the offers are exclusive to you. I know on my offer list I get a lot of baby products.
Keep an eye out for the offers you can claim more than once. I love this idea especially if it’s a product I regularly buy.
You can find Checkout Smart on the App Store for iOS.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed this post and find it very useful.

Thank you for the reminder. I used Checkoutsmart for a little while but I changed phones and completely forgot about it. I just read your review of Shopmium app too so I will definitely download those to help me save money on my shopping.
It all helps
I haven’t heard of these apps before, they sound fantastic, and really easy to use, I use topcashback but that’s mostly online shopping, but I do food shopping in stores, thank you for sharing xx
Great idea -time to save some pennies
