Children love to be outside, but sometimes, there can be things that can – as a parent – put you off from letting your little ones enjoy the great outdoors. Garden spaces, in some cases, aren’t that safe but parents crave ideas to get children outside. So here are 4 ways to make your garden child friendly.

Sink A Trampoline
A lot of parents are somewhat put off the idea of buying a trampoline because they are worried about injuries, but kids love them! Of course, many of the Trampolines UK are sold with safety nets. It seems that now, many parents have opted to install sunken trampolines in the gardens. This drastically reduces the risk of serious injuries and certainly doesn’t take away from any garden views.
Install An Artificial Grass Lawn
Many parents want their children to spend as much time as possible in the garden during the warmer months of the year, but they dread the inevitable mucky footprints throughout the house afterwards – not to mention the lawn being torn to shreds as the kids play football, mess around creating games and just generally enjoy being children outdoors! For those who want their children to have fun outside but would also like to eliminate the risk of their garden becoming damaged in the process, installing an artificial grass lawn would be a great solution! With its long-lasting, low-maintenance and incredibly durable properties, kids can have as much fun as they like without the risk of mucky footprints and ruined lawns.

Build A Playhouse
It’s no secret that children have the most fun when their imaginations are at work! A good idea to make your garden child friendly is to erect a playhouse. Whether this be a small Wendy house, or a bespoke tree house, your little ones will love every minute in their own special playhouse. Having an actual inside area for children to run in and out is a good way to motivate your kids to spend more time being creative outdoors. Playhouses are available to buy from many different retailers, but if you have a DIY fanatic in the house, it may be a good idea to look online to see how you could build your own! Even a lean-to playhouse would be a simple solution and could easily provide hours upon hours of fun for the kids.
Lay Down Rubber Bark Chips
For homes with larger gardens, parents sometimes like to dedicate an entire area to the children’s play equipment. This is a good idea if it is possible as during the Spring and Summer months, kids are able to play on their swings, slides and climbing frames, whereas parents are able to maintain an adult-friendly area, populated with plants and garden furniture. A lot of parents choose to lay down rubber bark chips in a children’s play area within the garden. These chips are specially designed to provide a soft and springy cushioned area should a child fall over. This gives a lot of parents peace of mind that, should their child fall, they will be much safer.
