Business Card Review from Colour Graphics

Ever since I started blogging “properly” at the beginning of the year I have been toying with the idea of getting my own business card designed.

It just makes you feel more business like and important doesn’t it?

I’m not totally sure where I will give them out yet, but I’m sure I will think of something.

Anyway I was offered the chance of getting some business cards printed up by Colour Graphics in exchange for a review. I chose the 50 un-laminated double sided business card.

Ordering Process

Once you have decided on what type of card material you want, add it to the cart. There are 3 to choose from: Un-Laminated (the one I chose), Matt Laminated and Matt Laminated + Spot UV gloss varnish highlights.

Next there are a few express turnaround options to choose from. These are actually the production times not delivery times, So if you are in desparate need for your business cards you can choose the 1 day SOS turnaround level. Or for no extra charge the 4 day express level.

When you have decided on the turnaround option and the delivery option you require head through the checkout. Complete the transaction.

Once you have bought your business cards you must then upload your business card design. There is an upload tab in the top right corner of the website. There are two ways to upload. The first is by clicking into your order from your account panel and going from there. Or by WeTransfer which is what I did.

I did find it a bit hard to navigate this part of the process. But once I figured it out I did it quickly.

The business cards arrived by the end of the week packged in cardboard.

Front of my business card

Before I did any of the ordering I popped over to Canva to design my card. I knew what I wanted on my cards so it was pretty quick designing what I wanted.

The photo above is the front of the business card, while the image below is of the back of the cards.

Review

I honestly thought the cards would have been made from a slightly thicker card than they are as they seem to be pretty bendy, but perhaps if you go for the more expensive card you would get this.

I am really pleased with the print quality on the back of the card. They have seemed to have kept the image nice and sharp which is what I would have expected. All details are kept the same from the image I uploaded.

The service was great and help is on hand if you need it.
