Growing up I was a huge fan of Batman and Superman. In fact I’m still a huge DC fan so love The Flash as well. Getting the chance to try out the new Herodrive vehicle collection was a hit with me as well as my daughter, yes I’m a big kid! I suppose I’m fascinated with kids toys as much as she is, plus as my girls are growing up we are getting to try out some fun and interesting ones together.
Over the weekend we’ve been playing with these brilliant Herodrive vehicles. Starting with the ultimate Herodrive Bat Racer.
Herodrive Bat Racer – £24.99
The Herodrive Bat Racer is the ultimate Batman vehicle for little hands. This exciting motorised vehicle features lights, engine sounds, and music that bring the action to life! transform the vehicle into race mode by pushing the windshield forward to make the wings pop out. Push the logo on the hood for unique Batman sounds, then push it again to send the Batman racer racing forward with its cape flying behind!
What we thought
The Herodrive Bat Racer definitely appeals to young children. It’s big and chunky, so great for small hands. The sounds and lights are a fantastic feature for little ones. The car arrives out of the packaging in demo mode. 3 AA batteries are already installed which is fab for a present on Christmas day.
In demo mode you don’t get the full sounds, so you need to switch it over to full ‘ON’ mode. The blue windscreen roof moves forward and when this happens the wings come out. If you press the logo on the bonnet once you get the Batman theme music, press it again and you get engine sounds, the cape flaps up and down, and the back wheels start turning quickly. It will move across the floor on its own accord, not overly fast though.
The only negative I can see is that there is no volume control! But I’m 100 % sure it will keep your little ones entertained!
Herodrive Mash Machines – £7.99
Herodrive Mash machines are mash-ups of your favourite DC super friends with rescue and urban vehicles! these adorable character cars come equipped with flashing lights and character-appropriate sounds. Push the symbol on the front grille to start the action!
What we thought
These Herodrive Mash Machines are a mash-up of superhero’s and rescue vehicles. They are great fun, smaller than the Herodrive Bat Racer, but still a great vehicle to play with. You press their superhero badges on the front grill of the vehicles to make the lights flash and sounds. I love the combination of Superman and a fire truck! Batman and a Police vehicle mash-up is another Herodrive Mash Machine to collect.
Herodrive Signal Squad – £12.99
With the Herodrive signal squad, you can defend the day like Batman! press the illuminated logo on this freewheeling vehicle to project his super signal and show Gotham city who really owns the streets. The adventures are endless when you can be the bat! collect them all!
What we thought
This Batman Hero Signal Squad car from the Herodrive vehicle collection is our favourite. He’s a chunky vehicle and is free wheeling around. Press the Batman logo on the bonnet to project his signal. He has been taken to bed and shone at the bedroom wall. A really captivating kids toy, to keep them entertained. Batteries included.
There are more in the Herodrive vehicle collection to collect. Any of these would be great for Christmas presents for kids aged 3-8 years.
Amazon, but the range is also available in Hamleys and from February will be in store at ASDA
