Over the next few months, we will be reviewing some great toys to get children active. This is part of our Stay Active Ambassador role with Character Options Stay Active range of products. We are so excited to be Stay Active Ambassadors alongside Olympic champion Greg Rutherford. I can’t wait to show you how we are having so much active fun over the next few months!

About The Stay Active Range
Stay Active is a range of family-inclusive toys from Character that can be played inside, and outside whilst having great active fun. They are great fun toys to assist in reducing childhood obesity and helping with mental health issues. As a parent, I know how important it is to reduce screen time and get kids up and active. My daughter will play games on her iPad for hours if I didn’t limit the time! Once she is off her screen she loves the outdoors and will happily engage in playing with her younger sister and also mum and dad! Just this past week she got 1st place for the running event at her sports day!

Benefits of the Stay Active Range
There are many benefits of the Stay Active range developed by Character Toys, these include increased mental wellbeing, improved movement, balance, coordination and reaction time. As well as an improvement in social skills via team playing self-esteem and confidence. It’s perfect for challenging your friends! See how many jumps you can do?
L gets very excited when she can do more than a couple of jumps on the Hip Hoppa, she shouts to us all to come and see!

Hip Hoppa Review
For July we are reviewing the Hip Hoppa! It’s such a fun Stay Active playset. The ball base comes out of the box deflated so you will *need a pump to inflate it. There is the grippy footplate, ball base, material strap and bar handle. The dimensions are the height of 25cm, length of 20cm, and width of 17 cm. You will need to fully read the instructions included to make sure the material strap is at the correct height for the child so they can safely hop. The handlebar should come to thigh height. It is super easy and quick to adjust so great for taking turns with friends.

The Hip Hoppa can be a little tricky to get on, you really need to find your balance! Make sure you wear trainers! A super fun jump and hop game that can be played indoors and outdoors! Simply hold the flexible handle strap, stand on the hop plate and away you go! It does take a lot of practice, but once jumping it is such a fun rewarding activity. L has said she is going to practice every day throughout the summer holidays!
Please note that the Hip Hoppa is recommended for children aged 6+.
