Portable North Pole Review (PNP) – Video Calling Santa Claus

*Ad-gifted: I received a Portable North Pole premium code to share my thoughts and opinions.

Christmas is a magical time of year. Since becoming a parent it’s become somehow much more special. When it was just Mr B and myself we would eat and binge watch Lord of the Rings or something similar. Now, especially as L is getting older (nearly 4) I’m just a big kid along with her wanting to experience everything about Christmas. Video calling Santa Claus was on our agenda this past week via Portable North Pole (PNP).

It’s so much fun to set up, download the free app and create an account. You can buy a code for the premium videos for £4.99 or buy a video pass for £9.99, enter it onto the PNP website or mobile app and off you go.

I think to make the most of the whole “Magic Christmas” experience you need the Magic Pass at £12.99 or the Ultimate Pass for £34.99.

So the Magic Pass gives you unlimited premium videos and calls for all the kids and the reaction recorder on the app so you can capture that amazing face!

The Ultimate Pass is active on your account for 10 years. Ideal if you have young children.

Did you know that The Portable North pole is the original Santa messaging service that globally has sent over 220 million messages since its creation in 2008? That’s crazy!

At present, the paid videos are the only ones available but later in the year, free videos will be available. You can sign up here to be alerted when the free messaging service is live.

With lots of ways, you can personalise your video, such as your child’s info and characteristics, home, daily life, adding photos of family and friends and names. I love the part whether you can decide if your little one has been naughty or nice!

Although PNP can be used on a desktop, tablet or the app on your phone. If you choose the app, you can record their reactions on the reaction cam as they are watching it on your phone!

To see your recipient’s reactions is the greatest thing of all. Yes, It’s not just for kids! Adults can have a huge amount of fun as well. All you need is a love of Christmas.

Her is our video from last year (excuse the baby in the background!).

L loved watching the videos! She really understands the whole concept of Christmas this year. It’s great that we can download the videos in HD and treasure for many years to come.

There are toys and gifts you can buy from Amazon to go alongside your videos. We were very lucky to receive this gorgeous Christmas Story Countdown Book, a Poseable Do-Good Elf and a cute Husky plush.

There are many more toys available. Every one of them is a part of Santa’s team.

I love that PNP donates 5% of web purchases to Children’s hospitals around the world. So not only are you bringing the look of joy to your own children, you are helping other children elsewhere.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have found this post helpful.

I wish you and your family a very magical Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  1. I have heard of these before! My son is also 4 so I’m really excited this year as he fully understands! We’ll definitely be getting a video, thanks for the code.

  2. I remember doing a video from Father Christmas a few years ago with my God-Daughter Sophie & she got so excited.

  3. How lovely – never knew Apps like this existed! Very exciting and festive experience for the children. Makes christmas more real and magical. xxx

      1. Ahh I’ve been doing these the last couple of years for my nieces and nephews. They also go so excited seeing them. They are all getting a bit to old to believe it now but I’m currently expecting so I’m looking forward to be able to do them again in the next few years.
