Ahhh we have finished school! L has completed her reception year! Obviously, she missed a big chunk out in Jan/Fen due to lockdown but she is completely ready for year 1 in September. My rainbow baby is growing up so fast! July was a big month in our family diary with the end of school. Seeing her bring home a massive bag of schoolwork and being so excited to show me what she’s been doing all year was so emotional. She thrives at school. I was gutted to not be allowed to go and see her at her first sports day – another thing taken away from us this year. But we are all here safe and well, so mustn’t complain too much!!
July has seen us have extremely warm weather. Hitting over 30 degrees! We redheads can’t stand the heat and sun! Little Dottie and I have suffered from the heat. But waterplay has been so much fun in the garden to cool down.
I’ve really enjoyed taking photos of the girls from my iPhone. It’s a really great camera and I’m only now learning how to use the options properly!
Little Dottie is growing and developing really fast at the moment. We are struggling with the potty training phase, but I’m not going to push her. Although she did wake up at around 3 am the other morning to do a wee in her potty! Dottie is going to nursery for two mornings a week throughout August so it is not so much of a shock for her come September when she jumps up to 4 mornings when she starts pre-school.
