We have decided to take up the #BepanthenBedtimeChallenge with Bepanthen. The idea of this challenge is for us to share our bedtime routine and night-time nappy changes experiences with you using Bepanthen nappy care ointment to help protect against the causes of nappy rash.
Up until 4 and half months baby girl used to sleep through the night from about 4 weeks. Now at nearly 7 and half months she wakes up at least twice a night on a good night. She is teething quite bad at the moment and I’m sure this wakes her up during the night.
Therefore I like to use a nappy ointment like Bepanthen to protect her little botty especially now she is teething. I don’t know if it’s connected but she is more prone to nappy rash while she is teething.
I’m relatively new to parenting as you know, so I have been reading lots of different articles on how to become the ideal parent. Baby girl is 7 months old and we have now started to use the word ‘no’ with her to start introducing those boundaries. When you say no to her she will stop what ever she’s doing and look up. I feel as if she is listening.
Growing up my mum and dad taught us all about good manners and to be polite. It doesn’t cost anything to be polite.
Here are some good manners to teach your kids.
Simple phrases for young kids to start learning.
For My Sunday Photo I have chosen a photo of baby girl who turned 7 months this week. I cannot comprehend where those 7 months have gone. She is growing day by day and changing all the time. It seems every time I have turned my back she has done something different. Only this week she has learnt to sit herself back up from lying on her tummy.
Oh and is virtually on the edge of crawling. She gets herself up feet ready to go on all fours, but her arms let her down! She can’t seem to be able to crawl forwards. Backwards is fine though!
A couple of months back KidloLand asked me to review their fun nursery rhyme app for young children. You can find my review here: KidloLand App Review Now they have put together a fun free printable colouring book. It’s a great money saving idea for keeping young children occupied and has many benefits which I’ve listed below.
I have been meaning to write this post on tips for leaving the house with a newborn for a while.
Baby girl is 6 months old and leaving the house has got much slicker. We have our own routine now and she knows to wait and be patient while I pop to the loo!
Right at the very beginning, well 6 weeks after baby girl was born ( I had a c-section so wasn’t allowed to drive for 6 weeks) it used to take us 2 hours to get out of the house. I would throw my clothes onand have a quick spray of deodorant.
Yes sometimes there wasn’t time to have a shower!
Then there was the preparation of getting baby girl ready. I call it preparation because I used to prepare my self for any unexpected event that would put us behind.
Although baby girl is not old enough for her kids lunch just yet, I have been thinking up tips on a healthy kids lunch for my nephew who will be heading into year 1 in September to pass over to my sister. He is a picky eater and loves cheese!
With back to school is on the horizon Hartley’s set us on a challenge to come up with healthy tips and ideas for kid’s lunch boxes.
Hartley’s jelly pots are championing a campaign called Hartley’s Your Lunchbox. It’s all about helping parents create brilliant lunches and collecting an exclusive lunchbox through its collector scheme.
