The Zen Guru Mattress Review

I was so excited to have the chance to review the new Super King size Zen Guru mattress that I haven’t stopped going on about it since! My achy and tired bones deserve a good nights sleep. Same goes for my husband, with his bad shoulder, neck and back.

We have had a basic coil sprung memory foam topper mattress for a few years, and have been thinking for a while about getting a new mattress so receiving the Zen Guru to try out was a stroke of luck.

Before I let you know how we got on with the unboxing and the trying out of the mattress, I want to tell you a little bit about the Zen Guru.

The Zen Guru

  • It comes in Double, King or Super King Size.
  • The Zen Guru is made in-house at the Memory Foam Warehouse – I love this, no middle man involved so they are able to keep the prices down for us.
  • A comfortable and supportive mattress – They got that right!
  • The Zen Guru’s ultra-soft upholstered and quilted cover is easily removed and cleaned to keep the mattress smelling fresh time after time – a fantastic idea, especially for the hot Summer nights when you get hot and sweaty and need to somehow clean the mattress. A very well thought out idea, I must say!
  • Each mattress comes signed, (vacuum) sealed and delivered, I’m yours!! Very true! In a box as well! – See the photo below for the mattress in a box. I was completely staggered how they got the mattress in a box – a huge super king nonetheless, but all will be revealed soon… yes keep on reading

Things I like to do on a Relaxing Holiday

I’m really looking forward to a relaxing holiday. I don’t know when we will have one at the moment due to lots going on. We had an offer on our house last week so next month we will be moving into our forever dream home. Hopefully later on in the year we can have a few days to get away.

When I go away I like to have a relaxing holiday. I’m not into those action adventure ones, or going sking, you know those types of ones. I like to sight-see, discover places and find beautiful places to eat like at the Waterfront Restaurant where you can take a walk after your meal.

One of my favourite places to visit is Bakewell in Derbyshire. It’s such a pretty place to visit. I love to take a book with me and find a quaint little cafe to sit in and read while eating cake! I do lead such an exciting life!!

Bakewell, Derbyshire -a relaxing holiday

Before we head off to where ever we are going I like to research places in the local area. Find hidden gems. When we went to Canada a few years back we went to this Pioneer Village, it was one of the highlights of the whole two weeks. It was so hidden that there was only us and a couple of other people there. It was amazing to be the only ones there watching the demonstrations of what living in a Pioneer Village was like.

I also love to look around the shops and see what regional foods I can buy to take home with me. My husband always brings home tomato sausages from Derbyshire, we can’t seem to get them in Cornwall. One of our must take with us items when we go away is a cool box with ice blocks to bring back food. I always bring home some sort of cake and chocolates. On my first visit up to Derbyshire I discovered Choc Affair chocolate, it’s one of my favourite brands. I bring some back each year now. It’s delicious!

What are your favourite ways to relax whilst on holiday?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sending Online Birthday Cards to Family

The next few months sparks off birthday cards season in our family. We have 3 in June, 3 in July and more in September. Unfortunately not all family members live close by. In fact my older sister lives over thousands of miles away in Canada so sometimes sending her a birthday card by post can take time and it’s also not the cheapest.

Spending time outside is good for our health and happiness. These may sound like bold claims but they’re backed up by a surprising amount of statistics. Obviously going outside makes us more active, which, in turn, increases our health. Even going out for regular walks can increase out stamina, endurance, and physical function. Exercise in any form is a good way to lose weight and feel happier. For those suffering from depression, or even if you’ve just had a bad day, going outside can boost your mood. The great outdoors are also great because they lower stress level, in both adults and children.
