If you’ve got a blog, and you’ve been doing it for so long now that it feels second nature to you, your blogging career might feel a little stale or even boring right now. You’re not excited to update your blog in the way you used to be. You don’t feel like you’re connecting with your readers like you used to. You may also feel like it’s time to move on!

But before you make that decision, we’ve got something for you to consider. Namely, maybe all you need to do right now is diversify your blog’s content! Relight the spark you used to have for creating content in the online world by trying out some new things, and be sure to start with the three ways below.
Be Interactive on Social Media
Most bloggers already have a social media account or two, but if you want to find your blogging spark again, diversifying into more interactive and/or long form social media content could be just the thing.
Experiment with this in a variety of ways. You can start to create video content for social media, but you can also create multi slide static posts as well. Put as much or as little information into the posts as you like, try out various effects, get used to using the Photoshop or Canva suite, and play around with your captions to see what really grabs the attention.
If you’ve been a blogger for long enough, just trying out these new things will be more than enough fun!
Start Vlogging
It’s not blogging per se, but it is a type of sharing your life with the online world. And if you like to blog via images and the written word, it’s not too much of a stretch to start recording your life with a camera instead. Give it a try and see what you think!
If you find you like it, you can start to funnel readers and viewers back and forth and create a multichannel brand. You can then look into how to get more subscribers on YouTube, if you’re keen to become a bigger name on that platform, or you simply want more people to come over and check out your archive.
A lot more engagement plus lots of new content equals a much more exciting blogging landscape!
Expand Your Niche Focus
Finally, maybe all you need to do to breathe new life into your content is expand your niche focus.
You don’t have to write about the same thing over and over again for years on end! You can write about whatever you like and flit back and forth between your content areas. The more you expand your niche, the more you’ll be able to explore, and the more readers you’ll have coming to your blog’s homepage.
Diversifying your blog’s content could do you the world of good. It’s a great way to both market yourself and enjoy your time as a blogger again!
