- Choose the Suitable Place
Before you start installing an air conditioner, you must choose the space in the home where it will be located. It is important to choose the space that is most exposed to the sun and consequently the warmest space in your home. This ensures that this space will be the first to cool down, which will make your stay in it more pleasant in the summer months. After choosing the appropriate space in which you want to install indoor air conditioning, you must correctly measure your filter and check the suitability of the wall surface, which must be empty (remove all pictures or other types of decoration that are hung on the wall). It is recommended that the wall surface (interior and exterior) you have chosen is not directly exposed to sunlight or any other heat source.
Installation of Indoor Air Conditioning Unit
- Choose the Right Spot For Indoor AC Unit
Install the indoor air conditioning unit at a height of 2 meters from the floor (it can also be at a higher height if your home has high ceilings). From the ceiling and other walls, windows, and doors, the air conditioner should be at least 15 centimeters and 1 meter away from various connections for television, internet, and other similar devices, because of the proximity and noise of these devices can cause problems with your air conditioner.
- Install the Pipe
To mount the indoor unit of the air conditioner, you need a support plate, which you attach to the wall by first drilling a hole in the wall, through which you will install the pipe. Before drilling the hole, which you need to bend down towards the exterior of the house, you should check the suitability of the place on the outside of the wall. You install the pipe through a drilled hole in the wall from the indoor unit to the place where you will place the outdoor air conditioning unit.
This is followed by the installation of the indoor unit of the air conditioner on the base plate and the connection of the pipes to the water drain, which is located on the air conditioner.
Continue with filling the drilled hole, which you drilled to install the indoor air conditioning unit. To fill the hole, use prefabricated spray foam which, in addition to filling the pipe, also provides optimal sound and heat insulation, regardless of the size of the hole you drilled.

Installation of Outdoor Air Conditioning Unit
- Choose the Right Spot For Outdoor AC Unit
After the installation of the indoor unit of the air conditioner is completed, the installation of the outdoor unit follows. Similar to what you did before installing the indoor unit, where you first choose the most suitable place to install the outdoor air conditioning unit. As we have already mentioned, the unit must be away from the area directly exposed to the sun’s heat, and at the same time away from dusty areas, because that could damage the outdoor unit and shorten its lifespan. If you have a radio or television antenna installed, you must take this into account before installing it. The antennas should be at least 3 meters distant from the outside air conditioning unit.
- Install and Connect
Once you have determined the appropriate position, you can install and connect the outdoor unit of the air conditioner to the required electrical wires and pipe. Continue venting, whereby you must vent the air and moisture from your new air conditioner from the so-called cooling circuit. For the latter, you use a vacuum pump that must run until it reaches absolute vacuum. Then check all the valves for leaks to prevent unwanted leakage of the outdoor unit.
- Finish With Insulating
Fasten the pipe to the wall with clamps and protect the part of the pipe that comes from the inside to the outside with insulating tape, so that it is adequately protected from the cold. Close the hole you drilled for the pipe with spray foam that is suitable for filling pipes and other materials.
After following these steps, you have completed the installation of the indoor and outdoor air conditioning unit, which means you may enjoy the comfort of a cooled house in the summer and the warmth of a cozy home in the winter.
