Who had a Mr Frosty as a kid? Hands up if you did! I didn’t but I REALLY wanted one! Thankfully I can now live out that childhood fun with the girls with the Mr Frosty Ice Crunchy Maker that we were sent to review.
Mr Frosty Ice Crunchy Maker – What can you do with him?
Simple, make your own delicious frozen icy treats! Mr Frosty comes with everything you need to create your own crunchy ice, fruity ice shapes, and ice lollies!

Crushed Ice Treats
Our favourite is making our own crushed ice to eat.. Simply add ice cubes to Mr Frosty (under his blue hat) and then turn the red handle at the back to crush the ice. If you look inside the ice chamber it looks similar to a grater so effectively Mr Frosty “grates” the ice into the blue drawer in his tummy. Then you scoop out the ice shavings and place them into the cute blue bowls included. Add your favourite juice or cordial to the squeezy penguin and squeeze over your crushed ice. Eat with the red spoons included. A perfect refreshing treat!
Extra recipe idea – add slices of fruit to a glass and pour in your fruit juice or cordial. Top with crushed ice shavings from the Mr Frosty Ice Crunchy Maker!
Homemade Ice Lollies
There is a fab ice lolly mould included in the Mr Frosty kit. We made up our favorite squashes, poured into the moulds and placed them in the freezer overnight. They tasted so cool! Easy to make time and time again.
Ice cubes
Mr Frosty comes with 2 ice cube trays with fun shapes. These are perfect for adding to your drinks, or freezing in advance for using in your Mr Frosty! You can make ice using tap water or fruit juice/cordial like the ice lollies. The ice cube trays are also perfect for freezing blended fruit!
What Did We Think Of Mr Frosty?
Mr Frosty is great fun. Both girls have had a blast with the ice! I would say that it’s hard work to make the crushed ice! We ended up getting Mr B to use Mr Frosty. He found holding down Mr Frosty’s blue hat while turning the red handle easier to shave the ice cubes. Also top tip – leave the ice cubes at room temperature for 30 mins before using them in Mr Frosty. It’s easier to grind the ice!
Mr Frosty Ice Crunchy Maker deserves a 10/10 for the fun factor. It’s great for the whole family to get involved in making ice treats. There is an instruction booklet included if you need it. But it’s simple to use! Everything you need is included apart from the ice of course and fruit juice/cordial.
