Our holiday plans abroad may not look very busy this year, but there is still no excuse to get your Summer style sorted for your staycation at home or elsewhere in the UK. With July set to have a two-week heatwave in the UK, you will want to look your best while chilling out in the heat! Here are some ideas of the style and trends of what our wardrobes could look like for Summer 2021.

Sparkle

Sparkle and shine outfits are on the agenda for this Summer. Just think about jazzing up your working from home zoom meeting with a little sparkle! Dazzling trouser suits teamed with a chunky gem necklace and your favourite pinky rings is an outfit not to be messed with! Other jewellery trends for Summer 2021 include statement hoops, boho style. beads and signet rings.

Netting

With the Summer heat, netting clothing doesn’t seem such a bad idea does it? Netting seems a little unusual but, it’s ideal to throw a net vest over your beachwear, so you feel a little more comfortable at the seaside. It also gives you a little more texture and intrigue to your outfit! If you are looking to accessorise your outfit then these net socks look cute – although I’m not sure they would keep your feet warm! Layer semi-sheer maxi dresses over your bikini as an alternative to netting.

Fuchsia

The bold and bright colour fuchsia (and the colour of my peonies!) comes into play this Summer. Don’t be afraid to wear this colour, you will look awesome in the Summer sun! Try layering varying shades to complete the look.

Cut-Outs

Dresses with cutouts, and backless details are hot on the catwalks this season. Show off your fake tan with a cut-out on the waist summer dress. Although I can foresee some really funny tan lines coming from this trend! An unexpected cut-out detail on the thigh for that sexy date you have lined up. Celebrities like Kylie Jenner are already on board with this trend as well as the crop top look!

Wide-Leg Trousers

We may be just getting out of our lockdown loungewear and trackie bottoms, so this trend of wide-leg trousers won’t be too much of a jump for the Summer. Cropped culottes and utilitarian cargo pants are all back this season, teamed with your crop top and you will be brought back to the All Saints era!

I couldn’t write up a fashion post for 2021 and not include face masks. We have been wearing them for what seems like forever, and there is no news yet if this will change. But you can get some really beautiful fashion face masks that match your outfit, and as we all wear them, it’s the new norm!
