When I was given the chance to review a family game I really couldn’t say no. We love to play games, especially card games so this Happy Jones Families game from Go For It Games includes the Go Fish game as well seemed perfect.
Now I have an unusual surname and so was unable to get the game for my family name. It was potluck which name I would get out of the list of the most popular 24 surnames and so I ended up with Jones!
Perfect!
I know a couple of Jones so will be fun teasing them with some facts I now know while I played the game about their surname.

It’s one of those games you can take on holiday with you as it takes up hardly any room in your bags. They also make amazing little gifts.
The cards are very bright and colourful with wonderful illustrations.
If you’ve had the pleasure of playing earlier versions of the card game Happy Families then you’ll know that the game is traditionally played with picture cards.
Those picture cards were divided into socially stereotyped professions (e.g. “Mr. Bun the Baker” etc). Those professions have been discarded in favour of something altogether more appropriate and enjoyable:
