We are HUGE Hatchimals fans. You may remember our reviews on the Pixies and Mermal Magic Hatchimals and we couldn’t wait to get stuck into the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Crown Jewels. Ours contained an exclusive Hatchimal Pixie Royal as well!

First thoughts

The egg is huge! It stands over 22.9 cm tall and contains a whopping 40 surprises. We love the giant purple egg and couldn’t wait to crack it open to see what’s inside.

It’s was exciting to get stuck in, There are multiple crackable sections and peel-and-reveal compartments. When you think you’ve found them all another one appears. The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles were in blind bags which L found extremely exciting.

What we thought

Exciting, fun, with lots of surprises, and practical as a carry case for all the Hatchimals. Great for on the go! L particularly liked the lip gloss in one of the blind bags, as well as the stickers which she has now used to decorate the egg. I was just as excited to get stuck into opening all the compartments in the giant egg as L was. The cute Hatchimals are bright and colourful and well designed.

I’m pretty sure it will make an excellent birthday or Christmas gift for any Hatchimal or blind bag fan.

You do get a bit of mess left over from the cracking of the egg. But the rest of it is reused again as the carrying case. I found some of the surprises very small, that’s why it contains an age range of 5 years +. But overall the Hatchimals Crown Jewels is a lot of surprise fun! Easily keep kids entertained for a couple of hours, and even more with the free app codes included.
