In January I won a Twitter competition with Border Biscuits (@BorderBiscuits). They were doing a campaign called #GingerJanuary on Twitter where many people were posting various pictures of all things ginger! I was one of their lucky winners of biscuits and this gorgeous bag. Being a fellow ginger/redhead myself I was over the moon and I’m so proud to be a ginger! This bag means a lot to me and I’ll be proud to carry it. Thanks very much Border Biscuits!
Redheads have always got a lot of stick for their hair colouring. At school there was always the whispers and comments ‘hey carrot top’ or ‘Ginge’. I have even heard of people getting asked in the street if they are a natural redhead, really! I mean would you go up to a brunette and start asking them if they are a natural brunette? It doesn’t happen.
I have been asked the question, can you go out in the sun? That is a bit on the offensive side for a redhead, as we are redheads not vampires! All we need is some factor 50 sun cream, to protect those gorgeous freckles!
Back in July 2012 I won a book from a Goodreads giveaway called Redhead
, it is written by a fellow redhead called Ian Cook. It is a thriller with historical content and covers alot of mythology surround redheads. It’s a very interesting book with great characters with many twists and turns building up to a great conclusion. The book has an amazing cover, showing how dark and dramatic the story actually is. It is a very exciting read for fellow redheads and I highly recommend it.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog, I love to read your thoughts as always.
