Drink Plenty

One thing you can do for yourself and your family is ensure you are all drinking enough water through the day. When you are fully hydrated you will all feel healthier as your body and mind will be functioning as it should. Ideally, as an adult you should be aiming to drink at least two liters of water each day. This equates to around eight glasses a day, children should drink about half this amount. Get personalized water bottles to make it easier to drink through the day.

Get Enough Sleep

Sleep is vital for all the family, especially children. They need at least 10 hours depending on their age, the younger they are the more sleep they will need. Babies and toddlers will also need naps during the day. As adults, you should be aiming for a solid six to eight hours each night. It isn’t just about the quantity but the quality as well. If you are tossing and turning all night then you may feel more tired than usual. Getting into a good nightly routine will go a long way in ensuring everyone is happy and not cranky.

Supplements

Something else to consider, if you get ill quite a lot or have little energy is a supplement. Multivitamins can give you everything you need, especially if you don’t get the nutrients and vitamins you need from your food. This typically happens if your diet is restricted or you can’t eat certain foods due to religious reasons. Make sure that if you are giving your children multivitamins they are suitable for them, you can usually get them in gummy form from the age of around three. If there are several of you and you all have different ideas then you could put your ideas in a hat and each take it in turns to pick something out. This will take a while to get through but it means that everyone will have a turn to do their chosen activity
