Autumn Checklist – Women’s Autumn Wardrobe and Accessories

My favourite time of year is here – Autumn. The colder days are upon us so now is the time to think about putting your Summer clothes away and think about your Autumn wardrobe.

According to catwalk, futuristic fabrics, and tonal dressing is going to be in this season, but what does that mean?

Women's Autumn Wardrobe

Reading through online magazines and articles I’ve come  to the conclusion that catwalk fashion and what you can buy on the high street are two completely different things. I mean of course you will find clothes inspired by the catwalk but not the weird and whacky things you will see on the runway.

The futuristic fabrics and tonal ideas range from granny chic to corporate queen. Haha yes they do! Futuristic fabrics include dresses that look as if they are made from silver foil! Plus one designer claimed that chain mail is expected to be the new party fabric!! How Strange!

Patent fabrics and clear PVC are big this Autumn. As well as the colour coordinating clothes. Think various shades of red.

None of this above reminds me of Autumn. I can’t think of anything worse taking a walk through the park dressed in a silver foil coat!

For me Autumn is colder, darker evenings with woolly jumpers, dressing gowns, slippers beside the fire, curled up with a good book and a hot chocolate.

So I have made a sensible Women’s Autumn Wardrobe Checklist.

Women’s Autumn Wardrobe Checklist

  • Thick Coat
  • Boots
  • Scarf
  • Hat and Gloves
  • Woolly Jumper
  • Midi Dress for that party that may crop up!
  • Comfy Jeans you can wear all season
  • For some reason turtle neck jumpers are in this season!
  • Neutral bag that will go with all outfits
  • Comfy t-shirts/vests to wear underneath jumper
  • Slippers/thick cosy socks
  • Dressing gowns
  • Snuggly PJ’s

If you are looking for Hair and Nail trends this Autumn I have that covered for you as well!

Have I got everything on the checklist? Is there anything you would add?

Thanks for stopping by today.
