*Jewellery Trends for Spring/Summer 2020 is a collaborative post with Nakturnal.
While I was wandering around the shops last week, I noticed the new Spring/Summer clothes and accessories are being put out. This year it’s felt like Winter, in particular, January has been around for ages. I for one are glad to see the new collections and a change of season on the horizon. You know I love to share my thoughts on the top fashion, trends for each season, so here are the top jewellery trends for Spring/Summer 2020. Including old favourites, the classic pearl, and including gold, and colourful jewellery, with chokers, and oversized chains.
Gold Flower Jewellery
Gold jewellery is timeless. It is suitable for any occasion and will match in with most outfits. In particular, for the Spring season of 2020 are gold flower jewellery pieces that have been shown on the catwalks. A gold flower bracelet with matching earrings is a great combination for date night. Gold chokers are a hit with the younger generation.
The Spring and Summer collections see bright and bold earrings in particular. Coloured enamel hoop earrings are going to be big and make statement pieces. It reminds me of the 80s look! Gemstones and mismatched colours will be huge. It’s all about having fun!
Huge I mean HUGE chains are in. Giant oversized chains teamed with small necklaces to contrast the difference in size will be on point in the Summer. So if you don’t have an oversized chain, have a look around and get yourself one. Resin necklaces have a shoutout for that more formal, office work style.
Yes, we all know that earrings are bought in pairs, but this forthcoming season sees wearing one large earring a statement factor. Hoops are a particular favourite of mine. I used to have tortoise style hair slides as a teen, and they have made a comeback as giant earrings!
I love a classic pearl earring. There is something so natural and simple with pearls. They have been seen on the catwalks in droves. From the stunning earring to layered necklaces, bracelets and headpieces.
