The Summer Essentials Roundup For 2020

*AD-gifted: The products in this Summer essentials post were gifted in exchange for the feature.

It may not be the Summer we want or expected when we were planning our Summer holidays, but we can enjoy the Summer from our own outdoor spaces. Or later in the Summer a staycation depending on the current situation at that time. Fingers crossed! I do feel lucky to live just 10 minutes from the beach, but we still haven’t ventured that far yet. With the extremely hot weather, we had last month, the beaches were very busy. Too much for me to feel comfortable social distancing. But we all need a few Summer essentials and some great fashion advice to kick start the Summer. Here are a few ideas I’ve put together to get you started, including, accessories like this collar necklace and beauty must-haves, like tan foaming water!

A multi purpose towel

First up is a multi purpose towel. We have a lovely garden and so got the paddling pool out on one of the most gorgeous days of the year so far.

The perfect beach towel from Tesalate

We were sent this fantastic 2 person or family towel from Tesalate. We have found it so useful for the garden. Great for picnics, yoga, as well as drying off after the paddling pool. We will definitely be using it at the beach when we go. Because the special thing about this gorgeous towel is that it’s… get ready for it… SAND REPELLENT! The perfect beach towel does exist! It’s also ultra-absorbent, tucks away neatly in the bag provided (ideal for keeping it in the car boot!), and drys super quickly. There are many eye-catching designs. The one we received is the Bohemian print. The girls love the colour and patterns! It’s 160cm x 160cm / 63 x 63 inches in size, so lots of room for us all. The standard size is 160cm x 80cm / 63 x 31 inches.

Fashion

We all love to wear shorts for the Summer. This year’s style is the Bermuda shorts. Just above the knee, in various materials and patterns. On the catwalk, linen and satin Bermuda shorts were popular in striped or block colour shades.

I’m not so sure about this, but drawstrings and going to be a hit! You can get sports tops, cropped t-shirts, and a ruched going out top with drawstrings as well as the obvious trousers. I did see an image of a dress with a drawstring at the waist!

Other Summer fashion trends include:

  • Pink and orange shades and butter yellows are going to be hot in fashion.
  • Dresses with cut out side panels.
  • Sheer overlays.
  • Knit polos.
  • Split prints.
  • Bra tops.
  • Denim jumpsuits.
  • Halter tops from the early 2000’s.
  • Square open-toed sandals.
  • Collar necklaces.

Beauty

These beauty products are great for me time to make you feel better about yourself. Plus I’ve added an item in for the kids to have some fun, so you can get some peace and quiet!

  1. Fantastic prizes but that towel is a star! This would be amazing for kids age 2,3 and 5. We love to visit our local beaches here in Norfolk.

  7. I love that towel! I have been sitting outside more and my dog has decided that she wants to join me. That would definitely be big enough for the two of us an dI would not have to worry about her laying down on our hot deck.

  8. Great little bundle. With all the coffee I’ve been drinking lately, I think the whitening strips would come in very handy x
