I’m a busy working mum, with little time for myself. So when Treatbox got in contact asking if I would like to try out one of their monthly Treatboxes I thought why not? I think I deserve a treat every now and again. Plus I have a sweet tooth!
The great thing about Treatbox is that it arrives straight through into your letterbox. You can choose from different selections, such as chocolate lovers, candy lovers, sweet shop, liquorice lovers, Treatbox full of bars and a Belgian chocolate selection.
Potty training – yes it’s nearly that time. For weeks baby girl has been showing the signs that she’s ready. Examples being taking her clothes off, saying wee wee, hiding behind the sofa to have a pooh and having a dry nappy for periods of time. In fact when she had a horrible virus last year, my GP wanted a wee sample from her and I actually got her to have a wee in the potty, so I know she could probably do it!
To get us ready for potty training, we have been very lucky to receive the Bumbo Step ‘n’ Potty to review and help us on the journey. The Step ‘n’ Potty is 3 products in one. Firstly you have the potty, but that also converts to a toilet training seat. In fact the seat fits most adult toilets. Then you have the base of the potty that is also a step stool, that can be used to reach the toilet. Having a step stool is most useful in the kitchen or in the bathroom for little ones to reach the sink to wash their hands. So when potty training is done, you can still make use of the Step ‘n’ Potty for many years.
I remember when I was young having those slap bands you used to slap around your wrist. Well now you can get the Slappie watches, for kids and adults. Slappie is a UK company that won investment on Dragon’s Den in 2016. In fact I actually remember seeing the Slappie on there. Dragon’s Den is one of our favourite programmes. I love to see what people come up with next!
Getting back to the Slappie, they come in large and small sizes. We were sent the small sizes in Neon Pink and Snow White to review and share our thoughts.
This past week I have been testing out the latest toy craze of Glam Goo. Yes you heard that right, using goo or slime if you wish to decorate accessories. I suppose it’s kind of a crafty thing but ending up with surprisingly cool items kids can wear or take around with them.
“Slime gets a sprinkle of glitter with Glam Goo customisable and wearable slime”
I had great fun with the two packs of Glam that was sent over to review. First up is the Glam Goo fantasy pack.
I’m a huge fan of learning, in fact I never stop. Since I left college I have completed various free and Open University courses to feed my learning craving. I’m hoping to pass this onto baby girl. I’m a huge believer of children feeding their minds of new facts, and new things. Especially when it comes down to S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) subjects.
On Netflix Project Mc2 is a TV show set in a fictional city called Maywood Glen, California, it revolves around the fields of STEAM, and the adventures of super smart McKeyla McAlister and her best friends, who work for a government organization called NOV8 (pronounced “innovate”), a highly secretive group of cool teenage female government operatives who are trying to protect the world.
I love to try out new gadgets in the kitchen. This past week we have been trying out the Vremi silicone baking mats and the vegetable handheld spiralizer that we were sent.
You may remember a few weeks back we tested the Vremi whistling kettle as well. I have to say Vremi have some fantastic ideas for kitchen equipment.
Vremi Silicone Baking Mats
I’ve never used baking mats before and now feel I have been missing out! These Vremi silicone mats come in a set of 3. Two of them are full size liners for your baking trays and one is a half-size. They arrived in a tube which is handy to keep them in also. As well as being non-stick they are BPA free silicone and contain a flexible fibreglass weave.
