The beauty of Europe will never cease to amaze many. It will always be in the long list of preferred traveling destinations in the world. This magical place offers a lot of attractions which makes it difficult to narrow the choices for that family tour you have been planning to do. So, to make things easier, we are suggesting a few of the most beautiful islands you might consider visiting.
We are now leaving the Summer behind us and heading into Autumn. With the evenings beginning to cool it’s time to think about changing the bedding for having a better nights sleep. I love this time of year. With fall beginning, leaves falling from the trees, colder nights. It’s time to dig out the Autumn and Winter duvet and prepare the bedroom.
I have put some tips together to help you get Fall ready:
I absolutely adore warm snuggly duvet with gorgeous duvet covers. You can get some really lovely duvet covers which can compliment your Autumn bedroom. A relaxing atmosphere in the bedroom can make for better sleep.
Here are some of my favourite Autumn/Winter duvet cover designs.
This stunning stag design gives your bedroom that toasty log cabin feel.
The Innsbruck Grey Duvet gives you the Winter and Christmassy feeling.
You can also add bedspreads and throws to your bed for extra warmth. I love rustic colours and country patterns for this time of year for the bedroom. It really freshens up the whole room, yet keeping it warm and cosy.
Adding a patterned duvet with geometric shapes adds another dimension to the theme of your bedroom.
Why not invest in some lovely new curtains for your Autumn bedroom to update the look. I think pretty designed curtains make a room that extra special.
These latte coloured curtains are the perfect shade of colour for Autumn. Curtains are great for keeping out the cooler air for this time of year, leaving you to have a better nights sleep.
If you are planning on updating your bedroom for the fall season, why not also take a look at the children’s bedrooms.
Kids need to have the perfect sleep-inducing environment. A room that is quiet, dark and cool can help to promote better sleeping habits.
To achieve this environment, thick and heavy curtains or blackout curtains are key. There are a fantastic range of children’s curtains for Autumn on Yorkshire Linen.
I have to say that my favourite are the moonlight navy blackout curtains. Perfect for that dreamy kids bedroom, yet blocking out the light.
There are some wonderful accessories out there that you can find for the bedroom. Lovely pictures, cushions and a thick warm cosy rug are great additions to your Autumn bedroom to add colour and style.
Are you ready for Autumn yet? Do you plan to give your bedroom or your children’s an Autumn makeover?
I would love to hear your ideas.
I love to bake and cook in my kitchen. But sometimes I’m limited due to the time I have spare. Nowadays we have some incredible technology for the kitchen, but sometimes the simple kitchen gadgets really are the best.
Here are a few of the gadgets that everyone absolutely needs in their kitchen. Just to make life that little bit easier.
A Kitchen Slicer
One of the most time-consuming parts of putting a dish together is preparing the vegetables. It can be such a chore. Especially when you’ve already had a busy day, and just want to put together something healthy but quick. Having a kitchen slicer on hand will save you time and hassle. When you can prepare fruits and vegetables quickly, it means you’re much more inclined to include more of the good stuff into your diet. Much cheaper than a food processor and just as efficient (if not more) when it comes to slicing. Plus if you have a smaller kitchen it takes up less space so you don’t have to clutter up your work surfaces with extra appliances.
Next year we are buying a new house, so we need to increase the value of our current home ready for selling early next year. Our new house will be much more child friendly than the current one. Plus it will have a decent garden not a slope out the back which we have now.
One idea that we are going to do is to tidy up the garden and make it more people-friendly.
You can check out my Youtube video below if you want to see our current back garden/slope!
I have been browsing the web on ideas how to increase the value of a home
Over the past few years I have taken part in quite a few home learning courses. I always loved school and learning new things so when I left after taking my A-Levels, I was always on the look out to find something to do in my spare time.
I have completed various online courses with differernt online establishments in subjests such as Environemental Science, chemistry and business studies. I think they are a great way to improve yourself and gain qualifications at your own pace.
One of the best online home learning websites is with the ncc home learning. There are many different areas that ncc cover. The courses can be from the industry sector, career related or just interests. I love the fact that they do the courses at different levels as well catering for all.
Gardening with mobility issues is very hard for the elderly and people with disabilities.
But why should they let this hold them back? Why not try to work around the disabilities?
My dad is 87 years old and loves the outdoor life. He has practically lived outside all his life and still does so nowadays. Being elderly it’s hard for him to make the most of his back garden. Only the other day he mentioned to me that he is going to stop planting on the veg patch because he cannot do it anymore. So I suggested to him why not just plant some potatoes into one of those potato grow bags you can get nowadays? It will save you stooping down so much. Or plant some lettuce in window boxes.
This has given him food for thought I can assure you!
