Happy Saturday! This week’s weekend book review is an utterly completely gripping, utterly twisted thriller called The Nursery by Sue Watson.

What I Thought

Back in the Summer, I read my first book by Sue Watson called The Resort, it was fantastic! So when I got the chance to read another one of her books it was a straightaway YES!

The Nursery is one of those twisty thrillers that you really don’t know which way the story is going. You meet Emma, mum to three year old Sofia who had to leave her ex-husband. The pair fled to Sidmouth to leave their old life behind. But what are they hiding?

Life is great for a few years. One day Emma discovers that Sofia who is now a teen has been texting someone. The last message her daughter receives is “your mother isn’t who you think she is” before she disappears. The past has caught up with Emma.

What a great book! You will be guessing all the time, and then when you think you know, you actually don’t! Fantastically written!
