The Falmouth Cringe is the first comedy festival of its kind in the South West. It returns to Falmouth in 2024 for its third edition from 4 – 7 July. Pritchard McLean’s show ‘Peacock’ will come to The Poly on Saturday 8 July at 8 pm.
Having graced the stages of prestigious shows like ‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, and ‘QI’, Kiri Pritchard-McLean is back with her funniest and most personal show to date. Audiences can look forward to a joyous and uplifting show from a comedian celebrated for making “powerhouse stand-up from the thorniest of subjects” (The Guardian).

The Falmouth Cringe is promising its biggest festival yet, with over 35 shows in 2024. In 2023, The Falmouth Cringe drew an impressive crowd of 2,339 ticket holders. Who attended 32 performances during the four-day festival. With an average occupancy rate of 89%, it’s clear that The Falmouth Cringe has become a must-attend event for comedy enthusiasts. Solskinn – The Church – Recently acquired by Harry James-Mills. The owner of Wesup and Solskinn, two cocktail bars in Falmouth the Methodist church on Killigrew Street is about to open again as a brand new community hub. With a capacity of 300, opening and closing nights will be hosted at The Church. Which will help The Church establish a new status as a cultural venue.
The Poly – A local cultural hub for many years, The Poly will play host to several acts.
The Cornish Bank –The Cornish Bank brings together live music gigs and food and drink.
TOAST – It is the only venue to host a monthly comedy night. This is programmed by Graham Wilkes, who is supporting the festival with local programming every night of the festival.
Underland / The Chintz – Underland and The Chintz are two of the most successful bars and live music venues in Falmouth. As both venues are based in the Old Brewery Yard, this will be our festival hub throughout the long weekend.
