What I Thought
Since discovering Shalini Boland when I first read My Little Girl, I knew it was an author to keep an eye out for. Her skillful writing, the atmosphere, and the way she portrays her characters are all magnificent! So when I heard about The Family Holiday coming out, I was quick off the mark and got it onto my TBR pile!
The Family Holiday is superb, it’s taken the concept of house swapping to a scary new level. The main character Beth and her family have house swapped their home in the UK, with Amber and her family in Italy. Beth is hoping for a relaxing family holiday after her husband organised a house swap with Amber and her gorgeous Italian villa. But things start to go wrong when Beth’s neighbours in the UK call her about Amber. I can’t say anymore as I don’t want to spoil it for you!
But it’s full of lies, and secrets and will certainly have you gripped! It’s a book I found really hard to put down!
