One of my very first reviews on this blog was with Bakerdays. And now I’m back showing off one of their latest designs for back to school! Since I reviewed their letterbox cake all those years back, they have significantly improved all aspects of their business. From the printed cake designs to the cake quality and choice and of course their range of cakes you can buy. I know I have definitely improved my photography skills!

The cake we received from Bakerdays was a 5″ Letterbox Gift Cake. It’s a fantastic way of sending a personalised gift through the post for that special occasion. The range of cake designs available is vast, over 2000 in fact! From seasonal and celebration to academic and religious cakes. There is every occasion cake you can imagine as well as the usual birthday ones. As my daughter is heading back into year 1 next month, I thought a lovely Back To School Cake saying Good Luck in Year 1 would be a nice touch. I personalised it with names and the year and chose the cake flavour on thier website which was easily to navigate. Ours was a soft moist rich chocolate chip cake. The printed image was great on the cake, very professional.

Did you know that Bakerdays packaging is all recyclable? We love the tin the cake arrived safe in. It’s beautiful design makes it very reusable for other things.

Overall we were thoroughly pleased with our Bakerdays Letterbox Cake. It was packed lovely, the cake arrived in one piece with no damage to the icing. The design was fantastic and true to what I designed on the website. It came out of the tin easily using the pull tab. And best of all it tasted divine. Rich moist chocolate sponge, coated in yummy icing. The perfect letterbox gift cake through your letterbox!
