You may remember earlier in the year we reviewed SuperThings Guardians of Kazoom, now we are back showing you the new SuperThings Rivals of Kaboom Rescue Force series from Magicbox. Aimed at kids 4-8 years, the weird and quirky mini toys are made of coloured rubber in many designs. The SuperThings are everyday objects transformed into teams of superheroes and supervillains that fight each other in the city of Kaboom. There are 80+ to collect including rare ones!
There are the heroes and villains, golden and silver figures, and new characters with a chrome effect! In this series, there are two ultra-rare figures! This is the first ever series to have TWO ultra rare characters to find! Will you be able to find Moonarchaos and Emperorder? Complete the teams to create absolute chaos with the villains or restore peace with the heroes! Also, discover the new Kazoom Kids and vehicles to collect.
They are the perfect collectible for kids to collect. Not only are they brightly coloured, fun and the perfect size to put in your pocket they are very reasonably priced. A one pack is around 80p. Then they rise in price depending on the pack size. All budgets are accommodated.
We received a variety of packs:
- The Starter Pack – Contains a Comic Guide, Chrome SuperThing, SuperThing and Special Metal Jet. This is a great pack to get you started if you are a beginner collector. The comic guide has lots of great info, games and the collector’s list. RRP £5.99
- Single Pack – These are the fabulous value for money 1 pack. You get 1 SuperThing and a collectors guide inside each pack. Much cheaper than buying sweets! RRP 80p
- SuperThings Kazoom Kid – In this box you get your Kazoom Kid and one accessory. There are 6 to collect. Starlock, Cashillion, Toolie Kit, Breakmania, Watermax and Funfire. We got Watermax! RRP £5.00
- Rescue Jet – You can simply buy a Rescue Jet and 1 SuperThing in a box. There are 12 Rescue Jets to collect. Connect the Rescue Jet pack to its base, Press the two buttons at the back and the wings will open.
- 6 Pack – There are six 6 packs to collect. Each contains 4 SuperThings, 1 Rescue Jet and 1 Jump Wing, as well as a collectors guide. The 6 boxes have different coloured stripes on them so you know which ones to get. They also tell you which Rescue Jet is inside. RRP £7.99
- 10 Pack – There are two 10 packs to collect. Each contains various SuperThings and some with Chrome effect plus 1 Super Rare Gold SuperThing. We got Wagony The super leader villain! RRP £9.99
Our Thoughts
We absolutely love collecting SuperThings. They are affordable collector toys – in fact, the price has barely increased since series 1 came out! The packaging is paper and cardboard so fully recyclable – much better for the environment. There are over 80 SuperThings to collect that are great to swap with friends if you get doubles. Every kid loves a came of villains and heroes and these are perfect for it! With lots of bright colours, rescue jet packs and jump wings to play with, we can’t sing their praises enough!
