(*Ad-gifted) We were gifted the EasiYo Yogurt Maker in exchange for this post, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Updated May 2025
We eat a lot of yogurt in our house and always seem to run out before the shopping comes! I remember making yogurt at school many years ago but have never thought to make it at home until I was offered the chance to review an Easiyo yogurt maker. I knew L would be excited to make her own yogurt and eat it. We received raspberry and black cherry greek yogurt style sachets to try out with the yogurt maker.

What is the EasiYo yogurt maker?
EasiYo has provided a simple way to make homemade yogurt, with a container, that has no electronic parts and is easy to use with minimal effort.
How does the EasiYo yogurt maker work?
There is a three-step process to using the yogurt maker to make fresh delicious yogurt each time. The EasiYo yogurt maker instructions are included in the box. But here is a rundown of them.
- Using room temperature tap water half fill the supplied yogurt container. Next, add your yogurt sachet mix and shake with the lid on of course! Top up the container with more of the water until just below the top and shake again. Make sure you use room temperature water for this otherwise your EasiYo yogurt may not set and be runny. Also, use in date yogurt sachets, these factors could affect the quality of your yogurt.

- Next, make sure the plastic spacer is the correct way up inserted inside the EasiYo yogurt maker. Pour in boiling water to the top of the spacer insert.
- Place your yogurt container inside the yogurt maker, so it sits on top of the plastic insert. Don’t worry the boiling water will rise partway up the sides of the yogurt container. Put the yogurt maker’s lid on and leave on your kitchen worktop to let the yogurt set. When the yogurt is set, place in the fridge to chill before eating, warm yogurt isn’t the best!

When can I eat the EasiYo yogurt?
It takes 8-12 hours for the yogurt to set. It can be left overnight so you have fresh homemade yogurt in the morning for breakfast.

What we thought
I absolutely love the concept of EasiYo. It was designed by a physics teacher in New Zealand who wanted to teach his children about healthy eating. It really is easy to make homemade yogurt this way that’s fresh and delicious. One sachet of mix makes 1 kg of yogurt which will last for at least a week in the fridge.
L loved the idea of making yogurt and was happy to help with the shaking. I think it’s a fantastic idea to get kids involved with making their own healthy food.
We had the 1 kg yogurt maker and it is quite large on my kitchen worktop. But you can get small versions if you have limited space.
We tried out the Greek style EasiYo mix and I have to say it’s thick creamy and scrumptious. I have it for breakfast with granola and berries.

Where can I buy EasiYo?
There are many varieties available from the EasiYo website and also you can buy on Amazon, Lakeland shops and The Range as well.

Great review. I have one of this and I absolutely love it. I am a huge yoghurt for breakfast fan and this makes a tonne of yoghurt. It’s a wonderful invention. The children like the flavours too.
Thank you for such a good review.
