Linoleum is less trouble
When it comes to kitchen flooring, linoleum or vinyl are good options when you have young kids simply because they are very affordable and can be easily wiped clean. Yes, you can mp tiled floors too, however, they are prone to cracking if something is dropped, and with little kids, that is a real possibility. Linoleum while they are young will be much lower maintenance for you, and you can always install tiles or hardwood flooring when they get a bit older.
Install roll-out drawers
Roll-out drawers are great in the kitchen because they make it easier for you to organise your pots, pans and cutlery, and because you can just roll the drawers out, finding what you are looking for to cook dinner for the kids is so much simpler too.
Install sintered stone worktops
If you are worried about your worktops always getting chipped or stoned or otherwise messed up, then installing sintered stone worktops is a good idea. Why? Because sintered stone is more durable and easier to clean and repair than most other kinds of kitchen worktops. It also looks pretty stylish and sophisticated too.
Opt for non-stick pans
Non-stick pans are ideal for busy families because, as the name suggests, nothing sticks to them or gets burnt in, which means you can considerably cut down on how much time you spend washing the dishes or dealing with pans that are still dirty after they have been through the dishwasher.

Use kitchen paint
When it comes to decorating your kitchen, using specially formulated kitchen paint is smart. It is not only more durable than your average paint but it can be wiped down so you can get risd of those, spills, splashes and stains more easily, and if you do a lot of home cooking and have kids, there will probably be a lot of them that you need to deal with!
Focus on the flow
If you can, organising your kitchen in such a way that everyone can walk around it ns to the most commonly used appliances like the cooker and fridge, without being impeded by shelves or clutter or anything like that, will mean that you end up with a sadder, easier-to-use, and less messy kitchen overall which is never a bad thing when you have a busy life.
As you can see, there are lots of things you can do to make your kitchen more low-maintenance, so you can spend less time cooking and repairing, and more time having fun meals with your family.
