Now that the summertime is finally here, it’s time to get out into the garden and have that much needed barbecue with the family. Having a barbecue on a sunny day is a great way to spend your summer and have fun with your family and friends. If you want to up your barbecue game this year and impress your guests, here’s how to host the perfect summer barbecue.
A great setup
The first thing you’ll need to consider when you are hosting a barbecue this summer is where you will sit. Make sure you have enough Garden Furniture for everyone who is visiting you, and also make sure that you leave enough room for the grill to fire up away from everyone. You can even ask your family to bring a chair with them if you don’t have enough!
On Friday we moved house, it was raining, not typical Summer weather at all, but this didn’t put a damper on how excited I was! I have been dreaming for months about how I want to design the interior of my new home. With it being Summer, I want that warm, fresh yet stylish look.
It’s a new build I’m moving into so the garden is going to be turfed, this means we won’t be able to use the garden for weeks while the turf settles in and the grass is nurtured to grow. This sounds like hell for me over the Summer months as the garden is my favourite place.
So I want to come up with lots of #InteriorInspirations ideas for keeping me sane inside this Summer. To start with I have created another mood board. I loved the last one I made on New Bedroom Ideas.
This mood board is full of Summer ideas and warm colours. I love the idea of picnics in the garden in the hotter months.
Ever since I was a little girl I have loved Branston pickle. Pickle on a ploughman’s lunch is just my idea of the perfect lunch. So when I was asked if I would like to review a selection of Branston pickles, sauces and chutney, I couldn’t refuse could i?
My husband is a lover of brown sauces, whether they are fruity, spicy or smoky he just goes mad for it! So I gave him the task of trying out Branston’s new rich and smokey BBQ sauce.
When my husband was a child he used to love going to Blackpool and now we have a baby hopefully we will be able to and visit there soon so he can share his experiences with her.
When Visit Blackpool asked me if they could write a guest post for my blog on how to plan a baby friendly trip to Blackpool I thought it would be a great idea, especially with the Summer Holidays coming up. So here it is below. I hope you enjoy reading it and it gives you some pointers at what to do in Blackpool
Planning a baby-friendly day out in Blackpool is easy. Honestly, there’s so much to do there. It’s a fun-packed destination that the whole family can enjoy – from the acclaimed beaches to meeting all the animals at Blackpool Zoo, here are some things that you and your young ones will love.
There are over 1,500 animals at Blackpool Zoo and loads of different activities to try out. Park the pram by an enclosure and watch the flamingos, zebras, meerkats and giraffes graze, while the kids look on in awe with their imaginations running wild.
It’s a fabulous day out with brilliant animals and loads of places to take a seat to enjoy some lunch, but keep a lookout on the free-roaming cheeky monkeys!
I have just come across this fantastic website called Polyvore where you can plan out outfits and pop them together like I have done below. It will also give you the links to the items on the other websites where you can buy them.
I love how I can design an outfit on Polyvore and then send it to my blog as a post for all my readers to see! It’s great!
There is also a free app for Polyvore you can get for your smart phone. Design your outfit on the go!

Not only does Polyvore cater for women’s fashion, it does men’s, beauty, accessories and my favourite section Home style as well.
It’s a great website for finding your style for yourself as well as the home.
*I found this website on my own so have not been compensated for recommending Polyvore.
The one word that sums up my week for Word of the Week is Hot.
It’s very humid and hot by night and so my husband finds it hard to sleep. He’s what I call a hot bod and has a high normal body temperature so is always hot even in Winter. I’m the total opposite to him and feel the cold pretty easily. But this week does seem to be really hot overnight.
I have one of those Gro Eggs in our bedroom as baby girl sleeps in the same room as us by night. So it’s really good to keep an eye on the temperature for her and so we know what to dress her in over night. I wrote a post on Night-Time
when baby girl was just a few weeks old. But that was when the weather was a lot cooler.
