Japanese Moony Nappies Review

I had never heard of Japanese Moony nappies before being asked to review them. They were packaged like normal nappies but that’s where the similarities to our normal nappies ends. I was sent the large size which is for 9-14kg. Unfortunately they were a size to big for baby girl. But we did try them on her to see how they worked.

The nappies have a wetness indicator that changes from blue to yellow when wet. I think this is a great little feature as in the UK we only have that on newborn nappies. I don’t know how to read Japanese! but I could get the idea of the features of the nappy by the pictures on the back.

Japanese Moony Nappies Review

Moony nappies have great 3D absorption capabilities and are made from natural organic materials. We found them to be very soft. Much softer than the UK nappies. They are also very pretty designed. Winnie the Pooh is a great favourite of children’s, so it’s fantastic that it’s incorporated on the nappy.

I love the green sticky tabs on the nappies. It makes it much easier to find quickly with a wriggly baby!

Japanese Moony Nappies Review

I have to mention again how soft the Moony nappies are. It’s the unique selling point to me. Silky soft and great for sensitive skin. The nappies are also very thin so great for mobility. I had no problems with leaks.
The Moony nappies come in various sizes which are mentioned in kg on the side of the packet.
The only negative with the Moony nappies is the cost. They are pretty expensive compared to Aldi nappies and even Pampers. This pack of 54 costs currently £17.49 on Amazon which is on sale from £27.99, at the time of publishing this post. They are authentic Japanese nappies so in my opinion you are paying for shipping from Japan as well as the great Japanese technology inside these nappies.

  • I am giving the Moony nappies 4 out of 5 stars. It would have been 5 but the cost of the nappies dropped it a point.

What do you think of these Moony nappies? Are they  brand you would try?

*I am a part of the Amazon Affiliate scheme so if you click on a link to Amazon and buy, I will receive a little bit back, so thanks if you do. I was sent these nappies to review. All opinions are my honest thoughts.

I love the fact that there are lots of colours to choose from. So you can pick a colour to match your clothes. Perfect for the stylish and fashion conscious mummy! All the coloured teething necklaces are named after girls names which is such a cute idea! The necklace I chose is called Cleo.

When I first put the necklace on, my baby girl was mesmerised by it. Straight away her little fingers were feeling the different shapes. I think she loved the rubbery feel of the beads as well as the colours. I think the bright colours are perfect for babies and toddlers and their development. The necklace is a fantastic product for all mummy’s and I’m so pleased I have got the chance to review it.
The necklaces are easy to clean with just soap and water.
As a very safety conscious mum, I think it’s great to know that the silicone beads are made from 100% safe food grade silicone, BPA Free, No PVC’s, No Phthalates and no lead or mercury. They are FDA and SGS approved.

A visit to our new Caffe Nero on Lemon Quay

We have been going to our local Caffe Nero on Boscowen Street in Truro every Saturday morning for a while now. Unlike Costa the staff are a lot more friendly and will have a chat with you no matter how long the queues are.
But this branch of Caffe Nero is beginning to get a bit tired and is not very pram friendly – must consider this now we have baby girl! It’s hard to manoeuvre the pram between the tables without giving some poor old chap a knock spilling his coffee!
Anyway they have opened up a new branch just a few weeks ago a couple of streets away from the old one on Lemon Quay. We have asked and they are keeping both coffee shops open. The new one is right opposite a huge Primark that is due to open in October, a perfect spot for business it seems!

This new branch of Caffe Nero has been designed just amazingly. The decor inside has that perfect relaxing feel, and with a wide entrance door and a great layout of the tables and chairs inside it’s very pram or wheelchair friendly.
They have an enormous book shelf on the back wall filled with all sorts of wonderful books you can read whilst have a coffee or tea -with cake of course!
They have lots of bright sparkly hanging lights as you can tell from the photos!

I love the idea of this long table and chairs – great for larger families or groups of people out for coffee and cake. I must mention the floor tiles they have put in, they are very pretty and give it a homely feeling.

I just love all the different tables and chairs they have used. This one above is my favourite it’s very pretty and makes you feel quite posh sitting in it.
I have to end the review with showing you a picture of the great big scrumptious hot chocolate I always have when I visit Caffe Nero and a toasted panatone with jam – sorry I ate that before I realised I didn’t take a photo of it!
My only disappointment was that my husband came back to the table with the hot chocolate and it didn’t have any marshmallows on it, but I will let them off this time as they had a lovely new barista in training.
My husband had the pain au raisin and the latte with sprinkles.

Overall I would give the new Caffe Nero on Lemon Quay in Truro a 4 out of 5. I couldn’t give it a 5 out of 5 due to the missing marshmallows – sorry they mean a lot to a sleep deprived new mummy!
It gets a 5 out of 5 for the stunning interior design though. A very chilled out relaxing space- perfect for a wet Saturday!

Happy Saturday!
